I like a little bit of peanut butter (not an entire serving) on a whole wheat tortilla and then wrap a banana in it. Very quick, good, and filling for a long time.

I have to have a 3 pm snack everyday or i am starving at dinner, here lately i am really liking oatmeal with blueberries or apple peices in it. YUM.

Although the peanut butter bannana tortila is super good too.

I like string cheese too.

100 calorie popcorn packs are a good one too.

Laughing cow lite cheese is only 35 calories a wedge. A handful of peanuts. 2 handfuls od pumpkin seeds. 2 tablespoons of hummus and some whole wheat crackers. a boiled egg. A piece of string cheese. a small salad (in a bag) with some lite dressing, a handful of sunflower seeds, and a sprinkle of cheese.

Experiment. A piece of turkey wrapped around a piece of string cheese. Stick it in the microwave for 20 seconds and viola.. Yummy snack.

That sounds really good!

My snacks are usually fruit and string cheese in the morning and then Laughing Cow cheese and some sort of veggie in the afternoon. Sometimes I'm lazy and do a light yogurt with some fiber one cereal.

I individually freeze pieces of sweet fruit and eat like to have a couple pieces as a snack (pineapple and grapes are great ones).

Some other staples are already mentioned.
Cottage cheese with cinamon and apple is great. Or cottage cheese with canned pineapple or with melon! mmm

I keep cut up veggies in water in the fridge so that I can have that snack ready to go. Sometimes I dip them in hummus (there are tons of different kinds to choose from. My new favourite kind of hummus is the sun dried tomato. It's delicious and very few calories in comparison to other possible veggie dips).

-I love salads as snacks too.
-Sometimes I'll have strawberries with a square of dark chocolate.
-Air popped popcorn with a touch of maple syrup and salt.

that's all I can think of right now.

In addition to the usuals, like fruits and veggies, I like:
  • peanut butter and jelly sandwich
  • rolled sandwich meat and cheese, dipped in honey mustard if I'm looking for more flavor
  • hummus and cucumber slices in a whole-wheat tortilla
  • fresh salsa, guacamole, and a sprinkle of fat-free shredded cheddar cheese in a whole-wheat tortilla
  • natural peanut butter on a slice of whole grain bread with sliced banana on top (also good on toasted bread for a warmer treat)
  • slice of whole grain bread with fat-free cream cheese and slice strawberries (again, also good on toast for a bit of a warmer feel)
  • Bikini Dreader mentioned frozen grapes--those are AWESOME
  • sweet baby gherkin pickles (or other pickles--these just happen to be my favorite)
  • oatmeal with cinnamon and mashed banana
  • cup of creamy soup with croutons

Lately I have been eating fruit as snacks, but I wonder if it's the right thing to do? I mean, it's better than the bags of candy I'd go through previously, but I wonder if I can over-do the fruit thing.

Yummm - reading all these made me hungry!

I'm a huge snacker - I definately need an afternoon snack everyday.

Like others have mentioned - frozen fruit! Pineapple and grapes and bananas. Yum!

And you said you liked pretzels - I don't know if you have a Trader Joes near you but they have Pretzel Slims - and they are 23 for 110 calories! They are flat so you can put stuff on them like salsa or hummus or mustard.

My favorite snack is edamame - you can buy it frozen and just pop them in the microwave for a minutes.

I'm also a big fan of melba toast and fat free cream cheese or a laughing cow cheese wedge.

Call me old fashion but most of the time, my snacks are pretty plain

An apple
A banana
A cup of baby carrots

everything is better with a non-fat latte in the afternoon!
