Default Byetta for insulin resistance

Anyone take byetta for the insulin resistance? If so how's it been for you? How do you feel? Are you losing weight?
I'm supposed to start tomorrow.

Default Byetta

I have been on Byetta for one year. I vomited the first month, so was never put on the full dose of 1omcg, just take 5mcg two times a day. My blood sugar is normal, for the first time in ten years! i also take Glucophage with it. I started on South Beach Diet two years ago, and have lost 128#!!! I lost 80# while on Byetta. Now, I know a lot of people on it that have not lost any weight at all. So, the dieting and a lot of exercise, I do 10 or more hours per week, is essential. I still have 30-40 to loose. But I look a whole lot different and can wear regular sized clothing. From a size 26-28 to 16-14, so it is quite different. And some people do not recognize me. I went to a new cardiac doctor and he said I was the first person he ever knew to loose that much weight without the bariatric surgery. Email me if you wish, for more, or for support. [email protected] put Byetta in the subject so I don't accidentally delete it. Tina

Thanks so much for the reply you look great! I took my first dose tonight and was happy that it wasn't the painful horrible experience I thought it was going to be. It was not a big deal. I have a full feeling in my stomach though but not sick. We'll see how it goes.

I was sick the first month then went on 10 was even worse for me. Weight loss was great though. I just stopped taking it for the coast reason. It also messed with my TTC and since you take it during PG, why waste that kind of money.

Well good news I've lost 10 lbs in the first week which is crazy I haven't been able to lose weight in forever. I haven't really been sick or anything just sometimes have a real full feeling in my stomach. So I've been eating alot less. I'm just hoping I'm able to keep it up.

good for you Carrie. I was on Byetta and LOVED it. I miss it terribly. I stayed full for SO long while on it. I am off it now because my insurance changed and i dont have a drug plan on this new insurance (bummer, cheap employer), and it is $250 a month without insurance, just cant do it. But when i get decent insurance again, you bet i am right back on it.

That is wonderful you lost that much. Stick to it gal. I never got a tolerance with Byetta either, i mean, it never stopped working or worked less. I remember thinking, so this is what "normal" people feel like regarding food.
