Talking fave exercise dvds?

i'm knackered after doing davina mccall's dvd the power of three! i'd rather exercise at home so i have many exercise dvds.
i don't know if its been discussed already but i was wondering what you all thought was the best/ a good dvd? i'm looking for a new one to kickstart my latest diet attempt!
i like davina's ones because they are motivating and you can feel them work (expecially the next day!), but after a while a bit repetitive... and just focused on toning really.
my favourite one is pump it up (the first one released) ; i also have the other two but theyre not as good/doable as the original. a 4th one ws released at xmas, does anyone have it? theyve gone back to the original presenter so it should be better.
i also like angela griffin's dance workout coz it really is fun! i ahvent got the second one she did either yet. any good?
i have real results by beverly callard, which is funny for the music but the aerobic section only lasts 10 minutes!
i also have several by rosemary conley which are good, but not my favourites. i was disapointed with the salsacize one though.
i am quite interested in the ones by
coleen mccloughlin
vicky entwhistle
nell mcandrew
charlie brooks
jordan
nyc ballet
does anyone know if they are good?

I've got Nell McAndrew's Ultimate Results - I hate it! It's just a load of squats and running on the spot for an hour and a half, yes it exhausts you but I found only after a few workouts I was getting painful shins from all that impact.

I also had Salsasize but took it back to the shop as I found it didn't work me out at all (and I'm not that fit).

My favourite dvd is actually American (which you can get over here), - Billy Blanks Tae-Bo which is kind of kick boxing/cardio. I never tire of it - it gets raved about a lot over on the Fitness forums.

I love NYC ballet - it's beautiful to watch and the music is fab and it works you into a sweat and after doing it every day for a month I could really see my butt coming up pert!

Now I tend to do it as active recovery.

I have the Charlie Brooks one, it's good cos it's split into 5 sections - a warmup, disco, boxercise, high intensity and pilates cooldown. So it's easy to just pick your fave bits or do parts of it if you don't have time to do the whole thing. The instructor woman is slightly annoying and the music is rubbish, but god it makes me sweat. Plus theres a bit at the start that shows Charlie before and after and it's quite inspiring.

I like the Charlie Brookes one, too. Although I don't do the disco bit as it kills me.

Don't laugh but one I like is that woman off Emmerdale, Leigh Bracknell. Her yoga one, *Yoga and You* - I got it for £1.99 in a book reject shop, just because it was cheap. But it's turned out to be one I do over and over again.

I also LOVE Dan Karaty's 'HotPants workout' - is a dance one. Really highly recommend that one. Is fun. I dunno why he hasn't done another.

Also have Bev Callards' ones and they're great, and the fact they're dated makes them more interesting...

I like the Billy Blank Tae Bo one as well... I lie on the sofa and watch it cos he's got rather a nice ***

I've got loads of exercise DVDs and CDs - I just can't get on with them at all. I did quite enjoy the Davina one but my hip joints really hurt the next day.

I've got the first Angela Griffin one and Urban Workout.

The Angela Griffin one is less intense but works more on working different areas - it's still a good workout and following a DVD makes me more motivated to do every last situp!

Urban Workout is a lot more intense (and lasts about 10 mins longer) - one aimed at younger people I guess. You need good co-ordination to pick up the moves at first, and it's pretty full on cardio. It's fun because you're concentrating on the dance, but not something you can be motivated to do if you're feeling tired one day

Well I am completely in love with Davinas - I've been doing the power of three, which does get a bit repetative. But I've also been doing the 3 30min workouts which are amazing - just the right length before the start of a busy day! Plus davina and the 2 personal trainers seem really likeable and non-patronising. The 'pump' section is really hard work!

My favourite at the moment it Latinasize by Lilia from Strictly Come Dancing, I've noticed a big difference in my waist looking slimmer since January. Its split into 5 sections and a dance devisor so you can chose which dances you want to do if you don't have time to do the whole thing.
Charlie Brookes DVD is a good work out but i find her personal trainer really irritating and the first time i did it i ended up twisting my knee and couldn't work out for 2 weeks (i miss out that exercise now)

I like The Hollywood Workout for strength exercises. Billy Blanks' Tae Bo for cardio and Geribody Yoga is great for... yoga!
