Unhappy Fit Day

Ok, I just ran my food for the last two days in fitday and I am kinda stunned. I saw where you all were doing that. Yesterday I ate less than 1,200 calories and today I had less than 1,000.

I am not hungry, I admit I didn't get snacks either day...so I guess I need to add that. I would never ever have figured that.

Tonight I had a meeting and I ate at applebees and I got the grilled chicken with veggies...guess i should have eaten more

Ok, I have no idea what FitDay is, but as a veteran of (almost) one whole day on SBD, let me just say.....girl, ya gotta get those snacks in! That said (and this is in my best Scarlett O'Hara voice) - tomorrow's "anotha" day!

I'd suggest double checking your entries before you panic too much. Are you sure you didn't forget something?? If not, here comes the wet (whole wheat) noodle. Girly, you gotta eat!! I'm wondering how much fibre you had...and did you get all of your veggies?

That said, a couple of days aren't the end all be all of any diet. Yes tomorrow is another day (and there are still a few hours left today if you're up!). And remember that once you start working out with your supa-hot trainer, you're going to be burning a ton of calories and your appetite should pick up.

OK...here is what I ate:

Monday
Breakfast: boiled egg and V8
Lunch: pinto beans, humus and ww pita, tomatoes
Dinner: big salad (olive oil dressing) and spaghetti w/ww pasta
see no snacks and no dessert....eat me eat!

Tuesday
Breakfast: string cheese and V8
Lunch: pinto beans, humus and ww pita, tomatoes
Dinner: applebees chicken breast w/cheese and veggies...I didn't eat the mashed potatoes...shoulda had a salad
again...no snacks or dessert

I am getting veggies and fiber...just not enough food...it could be worse right I could be eating too much...I always said that I wouldn't do fitday because it would freak me out cause I would be eating too much...hahaha

In that case, let me say it again. Girly, you gotta eat!! I was thinking that maybe you're getting too much fibre and that's keeping you full all the time. Of course, I've been known to be off base, and completely wrong this late at night.

I think the beans at lunch may be the culprit...very filling, but oh so delicious and satisfying. I so appreciate your analysis...for real.

Hi everyone!! What is fit day? Today starts day 3 of SBD for me. Last week I did my WW for 1 week. I have been making myself eat snacks even if I am not hungry, nuts or 1 ounce of low fat cheese. I can't get the dessert in, not hungry and I never snack at night.
I did take Girlygirls advice and have v-8 through a straw with breakfast. I had about 7 ounces... better than nothing I guess. How many cals should you have on phase 1 or doesn't it matter. I am usually filled up. But this am I woke up not feeling so well..I felt like my sugar was dropping. Had some water, felt a little better and after I ate I was fine. I have a little headache and I feel like I am getting flushed out... just kind of wierd.

I actually found the same thing...my husband kept telling me I wasn't eating enough so I counted calories for a couple of days the old fashioned way and I was only eathing about 1000-1200 calories, so I have been trying to add in more things to beef it up a bit, like a boiled egg to a salad or some nuts to a salad.

glittergirl, fitday.com is a website where you can enter in what you ate for the day and it will calculate calories, fat and all the % for you, pretty neat! the book says we don't need to count calories...but I have read that some people do it for more success. I think that you shouldn't eat less than 1200 a day, that is what your body needs to simply function. I felt kind of weird the first few days too, but it will go away!

It really wasn't a matter of fear...I just didn't have anything with me at work and I was really busy. I went to work at 8 a.m. and didn't get home last night from work until 9 p.m. Just a long day...I brought snacks with me this morning I will do better!

Amber,

You are exactly right. I would add one thing though. I think during phase 1 that you should not at all concentrate on counting calories--just on the detox phase.

During phase 1 I lost 14 pounds and honey I ate like it was going out of style. Once you move into phase two I think your hunger is more under control because you are no longer eating bad empty carbs. When you eat good carbs with lots of fiber an nutritional value you are full.

I can honestly say that I am not that suprised by the fitday finding because that has always been my problem...I don't eat enough or often enough. I need to make myself eat more.

There could be worse problems, right?

Ok... I just did this fit day and if it is right I am going to gain on this diet. I had a 2 eggs with low fat cheese and a v-8... I used to have a 60 cal yogart for breakfast. I can say though, I am not eating slot and I am sticking to it and I doo feel like my stomach is going down a little but 3 days of this breakfast has me nervous.. Tomorrow will be lf cottage cheese. Has anyone ever gained on PH1??My linch and dinner I am not concerned with and am feeling pretty good about, maybe it is just the breakfast! Any advice? By the way, thanks for everyones hep!!!!

Glittergirl...that is why I said DO NOT DO FIT DAY YOUR FIRST TWO WEEKS!!! You are eating a ton of calories...but you will still lose weight. Your body is detoxing and getting rid of bad carbohydrate stores and buildup. Please don't try to count anything the first two weeks.

Thanks Sunny... it is so weird though... against everything I know... maybe I'll just cut back a little, like a hard boiled egg and v-8 or something. I can say I don't have a bloated feeling like before which is nice!! Thanks for the advice!
