Hi and welcome Lacy. I've never heard of Verner. Big town, huh?
Do you have any ideas? You must because you've already lost 10 lbs!

Hi LACY . . . from another Canadian . . . originally from Toronto, but transplanted to Nova Scotia about 13 years ago.

You have definitely taken an important first step on the long and winding road to better health and fitness by coming to 3FC. This is a really big place, so just take your time and have a good look around. I know you will be greeted with a big, welcoming wherever you may decide to jump in and start posting . . . so don't be shy.

We have a pretty healthly little chat thread called the CRAZY CANUCK CLUCK CLUB that you might want to make one of your regular stops when you visit 3FC. Here is a link . . . http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=106341 . . .

Hope to see you over there, Chickie, and in the meantime, you have a great moving and shaking kind of day . . . see you again, soon . . .

the million dollar question today
how do you get a fat canadian lady off the couch
ALSO NEW FROM CANADA-ONTARIO

Looking to lose 107 and I have lost since 3 weeks 3 1.2 lbs but now really the hard part starts - the part where I get a labotomy slowly over the next months of my life.

I have upteen goal-dates and yet to meet one of them - i'm looking to keep myself from getting discouraged as it will be something amazing to accomplish.

Beware I have a split personality sometimes bright & positive and sometimes not but I will try to edit that part of me that is not positive -until nothing negative is left - if its possible.

I use to live in Toronto (love Toronto) now live in a small city west of Toronto and like life better - slower paced and more time but not sure how to use that time- exercising i guess - now that the great outdoors have come back to southwestern ontario i'm trying to take advantage of the beautiful scenery and great things to do - but the million dollar question today is:
how do you get a fat lady off the couch?

My problem is actually an arm chair ... however ... you tell her to never miss a day of checking in at 3 Fat Chicks, record her food in fitday and walk in this gorgeous sunshine.

thank you - lol - i love the armchair too.

i'm getting closer to 40 (38 10/12 years old now) and notice the weight does not help - allowing myself to get out and move without feeling guilty about all that i have not done in the day at work or at home - wondering if i enjoy myself just for me and go work out, do a run - with life as fragile as it is SOMETIMES - im always in the mental mode that if i take for myself -somewhere else we will all suffer - but i'm hoping i get over that quick before the stroke or heart attack are on my doorstep - who knows they could be knocking right now.
GOOD STEPS TAKEN THIS WEEK - eating much liter during the day, stop eating at least 2 hours before bed and increased the water intake again - next is walking around outside today ... I want to go jogging - get my bike fixed and get out there - but fear of everything & nothing plague me all at the same time - is that a phobia - i think i'm developing a phobia for moving around - why - when i have nothing to lose- i have to be stronger and get a better attitude and i have to remember the LAW OF ATTRACTION - like attracts like but its hard right now - even though the world is beautiful and i feel like life is truly a miracle -why do i behave in such negative ways - and how do i stop .. excet slowly and very consciously.

Hi HAPPY . . . . . . You've definitely come to the right place for lots of support and encouragement while you trudge down the long and windy road to better health and fitness, Chickie.

Hope you will make our CRAZY CANUKS CLUCK CLUB on of your regular stops when you visit 3FC . . . here's a link . . . http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=106341 . . . you can start at the top and wade your way through everything or just pop on down to the last page and jump right on in. Whichever suits you best, we'll all be looking forward to chatting with you over there.

BTW . . . where are you in Southwestern Ontario? I lived in Kitchener-Waterloo for about 10 years before I moved down here to Nova Scotia.

Anyway . . . you have a great moving and shaking kind of day, too . . . see you later . . .

Thanks for the welcome - and I will check out that link.
I'm from Guelph - so that means we were neighbours.
Thanks for the encouragement - I ate a lite greek salad for lunch and got out there and got some sun shine between the car and the grocery store and i went with a friend. Tonight I go to Toronto and spend the night and work in the city tomorrow - Toronto is a great place to feel young again.

Exclamation April 1 - April 30 -challenge

LET'S SEE IF WE CAN WALK OR JOG OR EXERCISE WHATEVER YOU DO AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY. IF WE MAKE IT ... WE WILL DEFINITELY BE THINNER OR AT LEAST FITTER - I'M DOING THIS TO MYSELF - WHO WANTS TO JOIN - STARTING WITH 30 MINUTES FIRST WEEK AND ADDING ON APRIL 15TH... I'M MAKING THIS A DO OR DIE MISSION - BECAUSE 39TH BIRTHDAY IS MAY 13TH -STARTING WITH WALKING AND JOGGING IN BETWEEN - STARTING MARCH 31ST FOR 1 DAY HEAD START - DOING THIS IN THE MORNING AND IF I DON'T MAKE IT - I'M CUTTING OFF MY RIGHT ARM - JUST KIDDING - EVEN IF YOU DO NOT MAKE 30 ITS OK - AS LONG AS YOU DO SOMETHING SERIOUS EVERYDAY - NOT JUST WALKING FARTHER FROM THE PARKING LOT OR TAKING THE STAIRS BUT DOING CONCENTRATED EXERCISE FOR 30 MIN (MIN) EVERY DAY AND SEE IF IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE OR NOT - MAYBE THE WAISTLINE, MAYBE JUST THE PSYHCEE BUT WHATEVER CHANGES I THINK IT WILL BE GOOD - WITH A WEEKLY REWARD EVERY SATURDAY THAT I HAVE MADE IT 7 DAYS 30 MIN OF CONCENTRATED ACTIVITY FOCUSED JUST ON ME - NOT THE KIDS, NOT THE JOB, NOT THE FAMILY - LET ME KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE IS READY TO PUT THEMSELVES FIRST -BECAUSE I KNOW THAT IS THE KEY - MAKING YOURSELF AS MUCH A PRIORITY AS THAT MORNING SHOWER OR EATING BREAKFAST - LET ME KNOW IF ANYONE WANTS TO TRY - IF YOU WANT SKIPPING EASTER IS FINE OR GOOD FRIDAY BUT OUTSIDE OF THOSE DAYS WE MAKE IT A MENTAL DEDICATION. EVERY DAY WE EXERCISE WE COME ON HERE AND PUT UP A CARROT CAUSE I REALLY LIKE THAT CARROT
