There are a lot of opinions on this topic. You will see answers ranging all over the spectrum.
The basics are calories in/calories out = weight loss. The only difference from a weight loss perspective is how certain ratios make you feel (full/hungry, energetic/tired etc) so that you can happily continue on eating lower calories forever.
I would suggest tracking your food for awhile and see where you fall and then tweaking it a bit to see how you respond. In general I think most would agree that aiming for the healthiest sources of all 3 will do you the most good.
