I kept seeing posts about what people can't do that they look forward to doing, but sometimes its nice to celebrate the little things you've already overcome or are able to do now.
Oooh good idea, I can;-
i) run, a bit
ii) wear nice underwear
iii) have a bath, comfortably
iv) walk further & faster
v) pinch hubby's t shirts! lol
That's it, so far.

I can get up the stairs without my knees hurting
I can carry my groceries upstairs without difficulty
I can see all the gauges in my car because I no longer need my steering wheel set at the highest setting
I don't have to remove my coat in winter to comfortably use my seatbelt
I can shop/traipse about for several hours without being in pain from the walking/standing
I have energy left at the end of the day
1) Fit in a booth at a restaurant, airplane seat, amusement park rides and fit through turnstiles without fear of sticking.
2) Stand up from my couch without struggle
3) Walk up 4 flights of stairs -- I breathe heavy, but it's not a struggle
4) Shop in the "misses" section
5) Walk walk walk walk without trouble
6) Carry 20 pounds of birdseed or dogfood without a problem
7) Shave my legs easily
8) Resist food I love (at least some of the time)
9) Feel my collarbones
10) Put the tray table down in the airplane -- even in economy
11) Do yard work for an hour without huffing and puffing and struggle
I'm sure there are more, but I have to run right now...
I can cross my legs at the knee!
I can ride a bike!
I can fit in amusement park rides.
I can walk a mile without breaking a sweat.
I can see my collarbones and the ribs in my chest!
I can feel my hip bones (well, when I'm laying down )
I can shop in the misses section.
I can fit into my clothes from the 80's! (Not that I want to...but I can!)
I can NOT pick up something that weighs as much as I've lost!
Still working on alot of the ones mentioned above but the one I love is standing in the grocery check out line and feeling proud of my choices instead of ashamed of the chocolates, ice cream, etc....Once at a grocery store the cashier looked at my purchases and told me that if I made better choices I wouldn't be so fat!!!!! ( I turned her in to management!)
1)I can walk
2)I can climb stairs
3)I can walk
4)I can wear store bought underwear
5)I can walk
6)I can stand long enough to be in the choir
7)I can walk
8)Oh yeah, and I can walk
I love this thread, so I decided to make this the home for my first post.
I can tie my boots with ease. Last year, at this time I could not. I'd end up strained and huffing, with little tangles of barely secured laces trailing down my footwear. Also, I feel 'lighter', and like feeling like me again is somewhere in the not too distant future.
I look forward to many things, including going on amusement park rides again, riding a bike again and being able to take a luxurious bubble bath when I want rather than a shower (my tub is kinda small). Mostly, I look forward to the freedom of doing anything I want and going anywhere I want without getting in my own way.
