Default Pets!!

I figured I'd start a Pet's thread in the 20-somethings. I already put my pics on a different support forum. Since I'm not really sticking to one diet, I kind of float around. Oh well, I'll start one here, where I belong

This is Mollie. As I said in the other post, I had to get one last use out of my Halloween wig. I'm pretty sure she had no idea what was going on...

This is Rosie. She's a (6 or 7) year old Beagle/Sheltie mix. I kidnapped her from neighbors down my street who were abusing her. She would always be chained up outside for days at a time on a choke chain or I could hear her being beaten when I would walk by the house. She's mine now And yes, it was Halloween...hehe

X-posted from the Pets thread.

This is Boo. I have had him since I was 11 years old. He's such a sweet kittie! I love him dearly. <3

This is Dixie Leigh, she's our beautiful purebred Pomeranian.

..and here she is in her raincoat! hehe.

We also have two rats named Stewie & Brian, but they really don't like their pictures taken. I say that because we have tried SO many times to take pictures, and they always turn out bad! heh.

This is Penelope, reading excerpts from her famous manifesto

That's the devil Penelope again, where she shouldn't be.. she's been known to purposely knock down lots of stuff to make as much noise as possible and get her way

Oh we get to post pictures of our pets. How fun! These are my two pet sugar gliders
Chad is my favorite. I've had him for 3 years (he is 5 years old).

Phebe is my other one (she isn't as nice as Chad). She is 2.5 years old.

These animals are too cute! I'm glad I'm not the only one who makes mine pose!

I make sure to walk Rosie the other streets now so they don't see me I'm sure they have before but I they'd be stupid to say anything to me. I'd open up a can of whoopass on them

Good for you for taking the dog into your home! People that beat their dogs are just cruel! It's one thing to discipline by a little not so hard smack on their behinds, but to actually HIT/BEAT them? That's awful! People in this world these days. How sad.

Oh my goodness, Jessie!!! SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!! I want one!!!!!!!!!! LOL. My partner & I were talking about getting a Pomchi (Pomeranian & Chihuahua) awhile back, but...the person we were going to get one from backed out. So, I have no idea where to get one in the area now. =/

I had a chihuahua, but...she got sick, and we had to put her down in June of last year.... I will find a picture, and post it on here. She was a sweetie pie. I miss her a lot at times. -sigh-

Oh! Here's a pic.

A woman was walking her down the street one day in Oct 2005, and she saw me and asked if I wanted her dog. That she couldn't take care of her anymore. I had wanted a dog for quite awhile, and I said sure. She lied about her age & said Precious was 5 years old, but she was really 10, and not in very good health at all. It was really hard falling in love with her, and then losing her in such a short time of having her.

Awwww thanks! That really sucks you only had her for a short time. She must have been wonderful to leave such an impression on you in such a short time. Check out PetFinder

Yeah, she was a real sweetheart. Whoever started saying that you can't teach an old dog new tricks is crazy. Because I had to house break her, and everything. And she was 77 in human years. I do believe...

Thanks for the link. I will check it out.

Thanks so much for the link! We found an adorable Pomeranian on there that's about 4 hours away that we want. Dixie & her could be twins! hehe.

Aww these pictures are so cute! That little sugar glider thing is adorable!! I never seen one of those before!

muzikjunky -- Wow I can't believe she just got rid of her dog like that! I'm sorry that she passed away, I know how sad that must be I'm such a big animal person and I don't treat them any differently than I'd treat my own child. She was very cute.

I can't wait to see more pictures of everybodies animals!

Here is a picture of my Chihuahua, her name is Shayley.

Here are my kitties:

Thor is the one in the foreground, Loki is behind. These are my boys. I adopted them from the shelter in August... they had been there for almost 6 months. They're senior cats, estimated to be 7 or 8 years old... and no one wants to adopt older cats, especially older cats that have to be adopted together. So I took em, and I'm happy I did! They're so sweet and affectionate, I have no idea why someone would just dump them like they did!

Loki usually has really beautiful tiger striping on his sides like his brother, but when I took this photo we were at the worst point of trying to deal with a skin problem that caused him to nearly lick himself clean of fur on his sides... So that's why he looks a little thinned-out on his side! The vet calls him a "self-mutilator"!

So, I got an e-mail back from the foster home/adoption agency that I was talking about last night, and I can't adopt Cheetoh.

They said I am too far away. Which is very sad. You have a lot of trouble finding Pom's in my area. We were lucky to have found Dixie at P.A.W. Well, maybe it's for the best. With our financial situation right now. Once we get some medical bills paid down we might get another dog. I would definately travel up to 5 hours for a beautiful Pom though...
