Default Shapewear - for those who have lost a lot of weight.....

What's your opinion on shapewear? I bought some Hanes brand shapewear briefs yesterday, 2 prs firmness of 3 and 6 on a scale of 1-6. I put them on and kind of thought all it did was give me more of a muffin top than I already have. Just seemed to push everything up. I don't know, maybe when I get rid of more fat and the skin is looser than it is now it will make a difference, maybe there is still too much fat to really suck it in. But what do you guys think of it - a good investment, or a waste of money? These things were like $9 each, but I've seen them for $12 at Kohl's - this was the walmart discount.

I actually don't care for shapewear much so I don't wear them unless it is for a special occassion or something. Is the shapewear you are buying too tight? I would think that if it is pushing stuff up then it is a little too tight.

I generally just wear regular microfiber undies and they are pretty good.

I find the problem with the shapewear stuff is that it is so fitted so where ever it stops, things will hang over. You might have better luck with a whole body suit type thing. No stoppage in the middle, no hang over.
