Happy New Year Everybody

Treez losing 3lb over christmas is fantastic!!!

I,ve put 4lb on so far.
I,m not starting back untill next week, because the rest of the family are still off until Monday.
I'm bound to do more damage until the weekend when I,m going to have a sort-out and throw any bad food out.
I had the other salsa dvd and a RC low-fat cookbook for xmas so I've no excuse to get at it.

Happy New Year to all Low GI'ers!

I got the RC GI Jeans book for Chrimbo and it is almost exactly the same as the diet plan I've been following for the last 15 months which I sort of cobbled together for myself - it would have saved me hours of internet surfing if I'd just bought the book 15 months ago. It was very interesting to see it all written down and I have certainly learned a thing or two which I'm adding in to my diet plan.

RC has brought out a new GI Jeans book - has anyone ordered/bought it yet? If so, then is the diet plan very different and is the book worth buying??

I also got the Diet Doctors book - boy, those women must lead boring lives - they restrict almost everything - but they also had a couple of interesting ideas. Their nutrition plan is also low GI but they don't count calories - which is, for me, a very bad idea. I am more than capable of pigging out on healthy low fat/low GI food unless I control my calorie intake.

Good luck to everyone with their New Years weight loss - if you want to join in with the UK Fat Chicks Easter Challenge its here

I'm going to buy the new one, the ultimate GI plan, as I've lost my old book!

Treez, you're doing great! And Carole - keep going! Glad Sarah's here, too.

I'm not weighing - too counterproductive for me - I had months of yo-yoing 2-4lb from my longterm target and it was just agonizing - so I gave up! Am sure I'm higher than that now, but back on track! Went for my first run in ages today (got some cheap running shoes yesterday in the sales!)

Hey girls

Its great to see you all back I havent brought any of these books that are out there cos to be honest im not much of a reader so id proberly be wasting my money but i have got a RC low fat cookbook from last christmas and my mum brought me shape up and salsacise DVD for christmas so ive been doing that too , So im trying to start off the new year as i mean to go on or thats my plan anyway.

As i am on Reductil & RC i have set myself a goal of 3 stone from now till easter im not sure if this is a bit of an outragous amount but i know with the reductil i am likly to lose a bit more than average so i figured i can try and see how i go and if it gets to end of february beginging of march and i havent even lost half a stone or something then i think i will rethink my target lol.

Good luck to you all.

Well done Treez and Carole you will soon be right on track again. Christmas is just a nightmare for having crap in the house. I'm just about getting back on the right road myself.

Take care

Sounds like everyone has coped quite well over xmas and well done Treeze.

Had a very stressful December, which resulted in very strange and bad eating habits. Amazingly when I weighed myself a couple of days ago I hadn't put on any weight but I think that's just because the stress has burnt off the cr*p! My clothes, however, are definitely tighter as I've done no exercise for about 2 months so no longer toned

Need to start getting back on track, first stop, shopping trip to Tesco tonight

Hey Tranq

nice to see you hunni , i must admit i went to pot a bit in Decmeber too , my class finished on 6th dec so after that i started eating a bit stupidly but i did sort of try and get back on track and it seemed to have payed off. Well done for staying the same sometimes maintaining is harder than getting it off so you have done fabulous. Keep up the good work. Enjoy the shopping trip.

Hi everyone

I'm a newbie: I started posting on the US bit before I realised there was a UK bit too!

I've already lost a fair bit of weight on the Cambridge Diet but have decided to join Rosemary Conley on Jan 11th (this Thurs) to finish the task. The only downside is that there isn't a franchise in my town so I'll have a 20 mile round trip but it'll be worth it I'm sure: I've done RC before and found it worked well.

Glad I found this forum - it'll be nice to do the journey with other RCers!

Default RC newbie (again!)

Hi all! I've just started Rosemary's Ultimate GI Jeans diet on 1st January, and I'm thrilled to have found you all! I am a British Expat living in The Netherlands (which I hate), and have been here for 5 years.

I've been with my partner for 6 years and I have a 14 year old son (from my first marriage), and a 4 1/2 year old daughter. I am a pastry chef/cake artist (can you imagine how hard that makes sticking to a diet lol!) with my own business.

Looking forward to weigh-in tomorrow - this first week on the Kick-Start plan has been **** !

I'm a bit of an exercise-phobic, but I really got into Pliates a couple of years ago, so I'm going to do that again. I also go to ballroom dancing classes on a Sunday evening (but I can dance a little better than the carrot!).

How do I get one of these weight-loss counters that I see on so many of the posts?

Thanks!
