  • Last check in before going to bed. We went to a neighborhood Mexican place. I didn't eat much but feel a little better anyway. And when changing into my PJs tonight I decided to weigh. It was 154!! I am sooooo going in the wrong direction! Can't figure out what's going on but I must get a handle on it very soon.

Shaun hasn't said much and better not. Judd is a breath away from taking him into the yard and pounding him into oblivion. I'm surprised it didn't happen last night, the way Shaun was being cocky and mouthy and here's Judd soooo tired because he worked 12 hours yesterday and is worried about a deadline at work. He needed sleep (as we both did) and then we both ended up just lying there for the rest of the night. This can't continue. I appreciate all of your well wishes and hope that something positive happens soon. Otherwise ...

Anyway, I'll be working most of the day tomorrow. When I come home, I'm doing some laundry and then will sit for the rest of the day. Sunday is when I'll be helping Kate move out. I dread it.
  • Oh and I aplogize for not speaking to each of you and responding to what's going on in your lives. I really don't mean to be so selfish but between this stress and being so tired, I just don't have the strength. I hope you understand and promise to be back to my normal self very soon.
  • Kathy! You are anything but selfish. I'm so sorry that you are going through all of this. No doubt stress is impacting your weight as well. You vent any time.
  • Our poor Kathy, just get it off your chest. That's what friends are for.
  • Well we're off to a lazy start today. Here in just a few minutes we're going to go do some errands, including dropping off a bday present for my sister. Her 3rd bday was yesterday. Then we're going to drive around and look at the neighborhoods that we are interested in. Nothing new has come on the market, unfortunately, but we're going to just go have a look around.
I hope that you all have a relaxing and comfortable Saturday. I think we all need some stress-relief.
  • saundra, the ww job sounds good to me. you'll be a big help to a lot of folks. what an inspiration you'll be for them!

coco, get some puter help, girl. you have to be staying frustrated.

kathy, i hope you have a peaceful weekend.

melissa, my scales said 195 again today. it has to be fluid. oh, well, i'm still eating to lose.

i'm going to get my hair trimmed in a bit. later we have a montana senior olympics committee meeting. not much else going on today. have a good saturday, everyone.
  • Thanks you guys, it helps to know I have support from you all.

I'm at work all day and have quite a bit, so I'd better not stay. I'll be back tonight.
  • Good Morning Chicks! OMG....I slept until 9:00!

Jim's throat is better this morning. The tongue is still sore but we guess that will be that way for a while. The stiches only bother him a little bit. He is so unlike other men I know. He just isn't a complainer. He barely lets me pamper him. He's out shopping now for the stuff I need to make dinners for tonight and tomorrow. Tonight is a Froufy roast and tomorrow is a Roast Chicken. We're having mashed potatoes both days. They'll be Core but we both need some serious comfort food. I'll just have to live with whatever the scale says on Monday.

We had a nice time at lunch but we are looking forward to two days of just pure laziness.

I'm off to read posts now and see how far behind I am.
  • Whew! I got distracted by laundry and breakfast. I had a small panicky moment. Jim is still gone and I got caught by my bracelet in the mesh of the laundry bag and I couldn't get myself unhooked for a couple of minutes. I'm sure the site was hysterical and NOT pretty!

Kathy, , what on earth are you and Judd going to do to survive this with Shaun. I guess he doesn't realize how lucky he is to be living in your home and eating for free! It's probably a good thing Judd controlled himself because it wasn't likely to help anyway. You, GF, do not have one selfish bone in your body. Don't you worry about us. We'll all step up and take care of each other while you're trying to deal with your home situation. I only wish there was something we could do for you. I'm glad you and Judd went out for a nice dinner as I'm sure it really helped. Don't worry about the weight. It had to be just the sheer weight of dinner and any water you consumed.

Coco, I'm sorry that you are still having trouble with your posts. Selfishly, I wish you could be here more. I certainly understand not wanting to make long posts only to have them disappear. Best Buy has some Computer Geek Squad and our yellow pages are filled with people who will come into your home and fix your computer. Maybe you could get one of them. Personally, I'd look for a computer saavy teenager in your family. But first, try that Lavasoft software. Your doggies must be adorable. I just love terriers.

Sandra, I hope you are at this moment enjoying your haircut. So when are we going to get a profile picture for you? I looked the other day and yours is still a little box with a red "x". I like to click on the pictures once in a while because for some reason it make me smile and feel more connected. I hope your meeting was productive. Will you be participating in the Senior Olympics? I really didn't know that there was one. Don't sweat that scale. Just ignore it and keep doing what you are doing. It will work out just fine. What's your weigh in day now? Are you back at meetings? I haven't been able to stay for the meeting for the last two weeks and I actually miss it. I think I actually do get something out of it. My Leader says she misses me. I guess I talk alot? Could that be possible?

Melissa, you're right, we all do need some serious stress relief. I'm hoping that you and Aaron find something terrific. In Chicago, the real estate market really goes nuts in April through June. I'll keep praying that you guys find something really nice in the next couple of months. It helps to be pre-approved since in the house market....he who hesitates loses the house!

Saundra, I love that you are going ahead with the WW Receptionist job. You'll be a great representative! It also makes me very happy that you eat out as much as you do and that you do it so successfully. It's important to me to eat out and stay on program. Sometimes my family tries to tell me that I can't trust the restaurants to really prepare the food the way I order it. I think I can. You just have to be willing to order Core and stick to your guns. I'm just SO very impressed with you. They only had white rice so you ordered extra veggies. Many people would just have gone ahead and eaten the white rice. You did great!

Well, I just heard Jim pull in the yard and a load of laundry needs to go in the dryer. I'll be back.
  • So I'm thinking I'll buy Jim Seasons 1-4 of 24 since he's enjoying this season so much. I thought he could watch it when he has his shoulder surgery. Then we'll be all caught up. I watched Season 1 already on the treadmill but we only rented it. I can find all four seasons on Amazon for $201. I checked Ebay but I'm a bit squeamish about Ebay for DVD's. Does anyone have any favorite places to shop for DVD's who might have this set cheaper?
  • Okey Dokey.....I'm talking to myself. I'm off to watch TV and relax. First I'll rub up my Froufy roast with the marinade.

Hope you're all out having fun. Except for you Kath, we know you're working.
  • I left early. Holy smoke, I couldn't take it anymore!

Turns out Kate isn't moving tomorrow and also will be getting her application fee and apartment deposit back. They can't give her a definite date when the apartment will be ready and have put her off several times, so now she's looking for another one.

Judd is playing golf. I'm about to go find some food. He won't be done until around 6:30 so I have the day pretty much to myself, unless I go to the golf course and find them, and then ride in the cart the rest of the day.

OMG! That's what I'm doing! See you later, and I promise to be myself tomorrow. I'll be home all day since the move is off.
  • vickie~i always like to check out amazon marketplace for dvds. they often have good deals.

    What's a froufy roast?

my saturday started out pretty stressful. friday night, in the middle of the night the baby seemed to get sicker. so went to childrens hospital emergency early this morning. the good news--he's not dehydrated. the bad news--this might go on for a couple more days. the dr advised us to take him of formula & whole milk for 24 hours to see if that helps.

i'm looking forward to getting to know all you ladies.

i'm SUPER IMPRESSED with the person who ordered double veggies b/c there was no brown rice. fantastic!
  • kathy, i'm glad you're getting out in the fresh air. that should help. i ditto everything vickie said to you.

vickie, i am not going to ww till after i recupe from surgery. i almost went yesterday but decided to wait till i could go every week. i am weighing every day right now and don't have a formal wi day. it will be fri when i go back to ww, though.

the senior olympics are awesome. if you want info on them go to nsgadotcom. (was that all right, kathy?) you'll find info on all the state competitions and different events. i was thinking of shooting freethrows but they are scheduled overlapping archery. maybe next time. got to go. it's almost time for our meeting.
  • carrie, the froufy roast is a recipe frouf posted awhile back. go take a peek. i'm guessing it's under beef.
