Sandra, if you were doing WW in the 70s, this should tickle you!

kathy what a hoot!!! i was on ww then and did use A LOT of onion flakes. i don't think i made any of those recipes, though. i remember when i first joined we had to have fist at least 5 times a week, beef no more than 3, and liver once. also, we didn't have the diet foods that we have now. i used to try to slice a piece of lightbread to make it 2. i didn't have an electric knife and it was almost impossible to not have gaping holes in my bread. ketchup was a no no. and fresca was the only diet cold drink available. we're spoiled now--and i love being spoiled. thank you for the memories.

girls, there was a lot of disgusting concoctions back then. today's recipes are much more "real."

I remember Fresca all too well! Jim still drinks Tab to this day. Nothing but Tab. Maybe 16 ounces of water or 8-12 ounces of milk but no coffee no tea...just Tab. It isn't easy to find either. They only make it in 12 packs here. We stock up when they are on sale. He's afraid they will stop making it someday.

Hey ladies....I am one of the few ones who have not w/i yet this week I think. Mine is tomorrow and I wish that it had been today instead. Made some pretty bad eating decisions today. We were invited out to eat by someone at the church today and made poor choices. Oh well.
Things went well this morning, but who knows what that means. Now we just kind of have to sit and wait and see what happens....I'm not good at that.
Since our "one week challenge" is pretty much up, I have another idea...think I'll go post it now.

Okay well that is done for now. Who is left to w/i from our one-week challenge? I know Sandra and I are tomorrow...who else?

We don't have Froufy's report yet (if she went), but I can't remember anyone else.

That's a great challenge, Melissa!

vickie, i had forgotten about tab. i drink caffeine free diet cokes now. i'm addicted.

melissa, i weighed yesterday but that wasn't my official one. it was just a peek. the scales were up 2 lbs. i'm really hoping they'll be down in the morning for my "real" wi. good success to you, too. i'm sending you good vibes for a loss.

i haven't heard frouf's report either. frouf? where are you girl? i guess you're super busy with your friend and the recitals. i hope you had a good loss.

Well here is my official weigh-in for this past week's challenge--I'm up a pound. I'm so disappointed. I don't know what to do. I feel like it isn't a "real" pound if you will, but rather a bloated pound from all the bad food I ate yesterday. I think that I need to change my w/i day to Friday or Saturday so that if I screw up on the weekend I can be good the rest of the week to make up for it. What do you all think?
So here's to hoping that this week is better.

Melissa, my weigh in is on Thursday for that very reason. I know it's just playing a game. I try not to be bad on the weekend and for the most part I'm not. But, the fact is that we all eat a bit more of our WPA's on the weekend. Change the day and see if it works! Try not to be disappointed. You were in some tough situations this week. You'll get back on program. If I look for a new Leader, I'll probably go to a Friday morning meeting.

Sandra, I'm a caffeine free Diet Pepsi girl. It's sweeter than Coke!

Thanks Vickie. I think that I am going to switch to Friday morning and see what happens. That way, if I use all of my wpas on the weekend, I know that there is none left for the week, instead of using them through the week and then getting in sticky situations on the weekend. I'll try it anyway and see how it goes. Do you ever use your wpas? It seems like you always eat core!! (except for smart balance)

I use ALOT of Smart Balance because I like margarine on my veggies. I also spend points on buns occasionally when we go out to restaurants. I'll get a sirloin burger, buy a bun, and slip my slice of FF american cheese out of my purse. I also spend points on full fat cheese on days when I have a Chipotle chili bowl. I'll try to include all my points stuff so you can look at it. I've also been known to melt some Smart Balance and spoon it on my 94% FF popcorn! Sometimes I just need a fix and I figure SB is better than margarine or butter for me. I wish I could give up my margarine fix. The best I can do for the meantime is SB. When I was a kid I used to slice off pats of butter and just eat them without spreading them on anything. We always had large amounts of fresh butter in the house. Remember my Daddy was a Milkman! However, now I am primarily eating just Core.

Hey girls !

I am down a pound after last week. Anything down and not up, and I am a happy tennis girl :-) Actually - it's really good for me, as I had the golf day (which was not easy); and my mother's birthday to contend with.

I think this challenge was great; as I really focused again on what is core and what is not core. It's easy to stray away from the core groups, to things that are almost core; but where you should really be counting a point or two here and there.
