The sweetest thing was what his mom said to him, and then what he said about his parents. I just wanted to bawl.
I didn't like him at the first, but as it goes on I can see him going far. Some will get record deals, some will be on sitcoms (Mikalah?), some will go to Broadway, etc. I'm just so glad that they got their chance to be known. Anthony does remind me of Clay, and I've been a huge Clay fan since he was recalled on the wildcard in S-2.
And with that ... I'm going to try and clear my mind, get everything done and out of the way so I'll be ready to sit in front of the TV at 8:00!
Vickie, I think its a wonderful character trait!
Kathy I think his story w/ his parents and his throat trouble when he was younger is part of what has compelled people to vote for him.
Anyway, I think that they are all good and will make a few dollars off of their stint on american idol!
Well, looks like my prediction was right...for once! Sorry Vickie!
Was it just me, or did Carrie look overly-emotional over Anthony's departure?? Hmmm...
carrie was emotional, wasn't she? i think part of that is the pressure. she had to be very worried that she'd be voted out tonight. she really wasn't up to par this week.
Our town is having a big party Friday celebrating Vonzell's visit home. She is going to get the key to the city. They interviewed her mom yesterday on the radio about her crying episode Tuesday night, but I was unable to hear it. I'm sure on the way to work this morning they will be discussing everything. Every Wed and Thurs morning at 6:15 the radio station I listen to has an Idol talk. Yesterday, when I called a classroom, the teacher answered Baby V fan club. This is so exciting! I really feel she will be going home next week, but this is fantastic.
Poor Anthony. I am so bummed. I don't think he deserved to go home based on his performance last week. I think others got votes based on the strength of their prior performances. Well, that's the game! Carrie did seem very emotional. I'm guessing that Anthony is a great guy and that they did get close. She probably also realizes that she didn't have her best week. I don't know who I will vote for after this. Maybe no one. I guess I like Vonzell the best of the 3 but my heart is no longer in it.
Baby V Fan Club!! I love it!!!! I read that article yesterday in the News-Press, Shelley (at least I think it's the one you were talking about) and it was just so cool to see how the whole town is rooting for her!
Carrie is from Checotah, Okla. which is not too far from here (okay, a few hours, but you know what I mean) and our local news has had a guy stationed up there this week, doing interviews with her friends and family and old classmates, etc. It is a really small town and they are just going crazy over her!!
Well, as always, the last few weeks are hard for me to watch. I always hate seeing everyone go home. Of course, Carrie and Bo are my favorites, have been since the top 12. Bo Bice is supposed to be live on a popular radio show around here tomorrow morning(and other listening areas), Rick and Bubba. I can't wait to hear how it goes.
I'm still holding onto my earlier prediction, Carrie and Bo as the final two. Bo was definitely the best tonight, but I still like Carrie. I like Vonzell, but I think she'll be the one to go tomorrow.
I thought Bo was wonderful. I also think he's going to win. As much as I love Vonzell, I'm pretty sure she'll be outta there tonight. I personally don't like Carrie at all, and didn't think her performance was as wonderful as the judges said. I was disappointed in Vonzell's performance also.
Wow! I don't even LIKE "Don't Let the Sun" but Bo made me want to buy a copy of his version. Carrie's was pretty good, but not really my type. Vonzell, I think, is probably going home. I'm thinking Bo is the winner!
