Another cereal question ...

  • Cold cereal is hard for me to find ...any ideas??

...and ...Does anyone know if Uncle Sam Cereal is a Core food?

The Ingredients are: Whole Wheat Kernels, Whole Flaxseed, Salt, Barley Malt, Niacin, Riboflavin (Vitam B1) Thiamin Mononitrate (Vitamin B1)

The calores for 1 cup are 190, 5 grams of fat, 0.5 of saturated fat, 0 trans fat, 0 cholesterol, 135 mg sodium, total carbohydrates 38 g., fiber 10 g., sugars less than 1 g., protein 7 g.

I haven't even tried it yet, but thought when I picked it up that it might be a core cereal ...I'm having a hard time figuring out cold cereal, and shredded wheat will get old fast!
  • I am not sure about that but from what I read I would say no it isn't.

Puffed Rice (think SugarSmaks minus the sugar coating)
    Shredded Wheat

are the only 2 I know for sure.
  • Thanks Kelly. I also heard Post Bran Flakes were Core ...does anyone know for sure?

    Thanks ahead of time.
  • Post 100% bran is Core. Kellogg's or Quaker puffed rice or wheat is Core. Both shreeded wheat are core. Not a lot to choose from but I am not much of a varied breakfast eater. I ate Raisin Bran every week day morning for years!
  • ...thanks!
