It's white here, too. I tried to take a photo of cardinals, alligators, and white stuff; but it was fairly late so I didn't get a good photo. I was going to e it to the local NBC station.
Rhonda, I hope all went well at your niece's. Wouldn't it be a wonderful gift if you and your brother reconnected? I'm glad you got into a new exercise class. It's good you have the hot tub.
I can't believe it is snowing in Texas and it is warm in Tennessee. Oh well, so much for a white Christmas. We will have safer travel without it. Tomorrow is the big day! TTFN
We ate and went to a Christmas Eve service tonight.
Tomorrow we will do a family brunch & give gifts and then by 3
everyone will be gone and hubby and I will have total
peace and quiet. I may go see the Blindside movie.
Merry Christmas my most wonderful Chicks! I was up until 5:00 playing with my brand new iPhone. Now I must go through the day on 2 hours sleep. Adrenaline and food will likely be my friend today.
I have been eating really bad last night and today. My whole family loves the
unhealthy casserole recipes, so it is hard to make those and not eat them.
The good part is I realize how bad I feel (tired ,bloated) eating that way .
I can't wait til tomorrow , when I will get back to eating healthy.
I have been doing some Sonoma eating, which I think is core.
It is based on heart healthy power foods and big on
whole grains, beans etc .
I have overindulged in every possible way, and am now headed to the hot tub. We had 10 adults and 3 children over here for the day. That is the most I have hosted in a long time, and I still don't know where all my kitchen stuff is!
Hi Ladies and Merry Christmas to you all!! Its been a busy couple of weeks and my eating has been bad. Oh well, today is a new day. We had a great Christmas, my niece is coming today so its not quite over yet. Had my family in last Sunday amidst a blizzard in the North East. Luckily most are close by and we had 10 of the 16 make it. It was a nice time and a kick off to a non stop week. DD had a wonderful time, Santa sent her a letter that got here on Christmas eve. She was so excited. She did the Christmas play last Saturday and sung in the chior on Christmas eve. Spent yesterday at MILs with DHs family. I did actually vaccuum this morning so I feel the house is not a disaster area.
DD is now in the tub playing with some of her new bath toys. She is certain Santa made one doll wrong since its not quite floating the way she expected. Its fun this time of year with a 6 year old. Well, I could pass on her coming into our room at 3am yesterday morning wanting to go get her stocking. She climbed in bed with us until almost 7 -- DH says she fell asleep, I'd be surprised. I don't think I did.
I need to read and catch up with everyone some more. As far as a plan -- I'm thinking of sticking with SBD for the next 2 weeks (the strickt phase 1). I have not gotten on the scale in a few days which scares me. I'll be strict for the next few days and maybe try it out After the 2 weeks I'm going to go back to core slowly (which is basically phase 2 on SBD). I miss my rice and couscous!
Rhonda -- you need to change your siggie. Aren't you officially retired now???
The scale says I'm up 5 pounds! I've done nothing but eat large quantities of fattening food for 3 days. Time to treadmill and eat right starting tomorrow.
Hope you are all well. We are in the middle of a storm. We had to drive in really bad weather last night AND tonight. Off to the couch for now.
Vickie..all that fattening food was probably salty, so I bet some of that gain
is water gain from the salt. I have the same issue but I hope it
isn't all actual weight gain.
ho ho ho. Looks like we've all had a good holiday with lots of decadent foods. I'm glad we allowed ourselves to indulge as this is part of life. I'm even happier that we're all back op. I don't think a day or 2 of feasting is bad for us if we're able to turn the eating "off" and not keep on indulging day after day. That's always been a challenge for me.
This year I'm doing better. I haven't weighed lately but by the fit of my slacks this morning, I am probably still down 10 or so pounds. I have my daily affirmation written and am using it to keep me focused. I'm 30 minutes a day and am holding my points at 29 or under. I had 5 good days last week. That's excellent for me this time of year. I was also able to get back op Dec. 26--also amazing for me. My directive affirmation is reflecting an additional 20 pound loss. I'm armed and ready.
I think we all need to pat ourselves on our backs for not waiting till Jan. 1 to get back on program. "We done good, girls."
Rhonda, you are adorable in your red jammies and Santa hat.
