Rhonda, I like your upbeat attitude. I know your faculty and students are going to miss you when you retire.

And your hair? I'll bet it's cute and spunky.

Just finished dinner. I've used 3 WPA's today so far. Couldn't help it. The cornbread made me do it.

Hi Everyone
I just wanted to check in for a few.
Not much going on here.
Didnt do much today. Did sort through some papers and threw some away. Will have to do some another day also.
Well I am going to get off here.
Hope everyone had a great day.
Mine was so-so. Fall off the wagon. Now I have to get back on. Again.
Be back tomorrow.
Night

Coco, I'm the paper throwing out queen these days. I'll come over and help you out.

Sandra, you know that cornbread is so naughty!

Well, I had a TINY slice of quiche with my soup tonight. DH had a HUGE slice to save me from myself

Good Morning Chicks! It's a dreary day here today and we are preparing for our last blast of Winter with a couple of inches of snow overnight. Jim is out getting some fresh veggies so that we can skip the driving experience tomorrow morning.

The scale has still NOT budged one iota for me this week. I'm praying that miraculously the weight comes off before my weigh in on Monday. I've done stuff that I've NEVER done before to try and get the scale moving again in the right direction. One might say that I'm obsessed. I'm logging everything into FitDay and making sure that I don't go over the 1700 to 1800 calorie mark. I've even entered all the JC food. I've exercised for 3 days already this week and will walk today and tomorrow. My carb ratio is a bit high; average 59% which seems a bit high except when you consider all the fruits and veggies that I'm eating. Except for the tiny JC entrees, I'm eating real close to Core. This is why I love Core so much because I HATE to be doing all this fussing. I guess we'll see what happens on Monday.

I hope you are all doing well.

Good Morning Ladies

Nothing new here except that's its going to be another lazy day for me as I'm still feeling sluggish.Going to take some of Leo's Ensure to get my energy back.

TECH-I know what you mean about fight with the ball of wool. I also have that problem.I trying to crochet a throw cover in a multi shades of green yarn. It does get tangled up.

As for the B/L or any other show that I watch on TV Leo goes up stairs and watches his shows and I have the down stairs TV. The reason he falls asleep so easily and thinks it best for him to watch tv in the bedroom.

COCO-Glad that you're mom is ok Prayers do help.Have no idea why I feel so sluggish don't really no if its the exercising that have to do with it. Its has been a good year so far with my health.Going back to the doctors for my Cholesterol blood test and I'm going to try to find answers to this sluggishness.

RHONDA-Sorry about that I must have read it wrong. Thanks for sharing your soup recipe with us. Looks simple to make, and that's the kinds of recipes I'm looking for.

SANDRA-I don't feel like 6 WPA's a lot of the 35 you have to spend. Do you use your AP's I used to always forget to use them.

Have a nice morning

Vickie and for a good wi Monday. You're hard work is bound to pay off for you.

Maryann, Idon't use the AP's either. Last week I used a lot of WPA's and had planned not to do that this week but looks like I"m using them anyway. I'll find out Tuesday if I have a loss.

Coco, how are you doing? Are you on that wagon?

Hang in, Vickie. The carbs do seem high, a bit. I think WW is supposed to be 50% carbs, 30% fat and 20% protein.

Your diligence is going to pay off.

We have an absolutely beautiful day here, almost 60F. I've done my grocery shopping and am meeting a friend for coffee at 2PM. I'll combine that with a long walk.

Then, we will do some work around the house. I might even have time to do some raking away of the winter mess!!

Maryann: I'm making my soups as I clean the 'fridge.

Have a great afternoon everyone.

BBL,
Rhonda

Hello Everyone,

Well I went to WW and lost 2 lbs I'm pretty happy, now if I can loose (anything) next week and make it 2 weeks in a row I will be ecstatic. I updated my sig to say I've already walked today, which I haven't but will as soon as I sign off so I'm counting ahead. That makes 6 times this week I'm really happy. I'm finding that saying I'll walk every day no excuses works better than saying 3 - 4 times a week, because I can't say "oh I'll just go tomorrow" and if I miss 1-2 I still get in 5-6 instead of 2-3. Let's hope I can keep this up, we're getting Vicki's snow tomorrow afternoon, then below normal and chance of rain almost all week. Gotta love spring.

Rhonda - Sounds like a fun afternoon plan. Enjoy yourself.

Vicki - Hang in there, sometimes that scale doesn't show us all the work we've done right away.

Sandra - mmm cornbread. That sounds good.

Coco - Come on hop back on the wagon, I've been hanging on by my fingernails all week.

Maryanne - It was actually linen not wool. But I've definitely had that problem with wool too. Have a nice lazy day.

Well, I'm off to walk the dog then we're going to an afternoon movie and dinner, since it's dh's "good weekend".

Have a great day everyone.

-Tech

Rhonda, you sound so "springy" today. Enjoy every moment.

Donna, I like your idea of walking every day. I am a procrastinator, too, so I often postpone . I'll do mine as soon as I get off here.

We're watching Antique Roadshow. Do we need a life or what?

Hi Everyone
Well not much happening here.
Had some errands to run this morning. Did that. Then went to my Aunt's and visited for a little bit.
Then we to Applebee's to eat. We had a gift card for there. Anyway. I was a little disappointed in their WW menu. They really didnt have anything. I only saw about 4 meals that were WW. A salad, a fish, a chicken and a steak dinner. And they dont have the WW dessert anymore. I got the steak and mushroom WW dinner. 7 points. But is was very good.
I am back on track mostly today. I did have 6 pretzels with a little cheese on them. They were the little square pretzels. I think I figured around 2 points for this. But doing alot better than yesterday.

TECHALUM Great Job on the loss. Hope you had a good time at the movie and dinner. What movie do you go see.

ONTARGET My Mom and Dad like to watch the Roadshow. And I am back on the wagon. Compared to yesterday anyway.

BEACHBUM Sure hope you get to feeling better. Mom is still having pain. And of course they dont have the test results back yet. Wont get them until the first of the week. Told her if she had more pain or got to feeling worst. To go to the ER. So we will see. Is the throw for yourself or are you making it for someone. Take care.

VICKIE dont you just hate it. You follow program to the T. And nothing happens or you gain. I know what you are going through. I am having trouble myself. I get so upset. And think. Why do I put myself through this. I dont lose. Or stay the same. Or gain and relose the same 5 lbs. I keep telling the Dr I think something with the hormones is going on. But they say no. So I dont know. I guess I will keep struggling for a little bit more. And then maybe just give up. Maybe once the weather gets better and I can get out more. Maybe that will help. I am sure the scales will go down for you this week. Keep you chin up. I am here with you and for you all the way.

TEJAS Hope you are enjoying the nice day. We had a pretty good day here. And come on over anytime to help toss papers. I probably could have threw more away. But would start. Then think. No maybe I will need that. Oh well. Maybe one of these days I will get rid of them all.

Well I am going to get off here for now.
Hope everyone is having a great day.
Thinking of each of you.

Coco, on being on that wagon.

I'm probably going to On the Border Tuesday after wi. Now is that program? I have been studying their menu/points and am planning on a meal that's a little shy of 30 pts. Tues is my first day of the week so I'll have all my WPA's. We'll see what happens. I'm going with 2 gf's. We don't get out together very often. This will be An Event.

Good Morning Chicks! It is NOT spring in Chicago.

I'm still working very hard to show some weight loss this week. So far, nothing. I can only hope for a miracle by tomorrow morning. I'll be exercising later today. That will be five times this week for 30 minutes. Not a lot considering my sedentary lifestyle but still better than nothing.

We'll be staying in today because of the weather and because we can. What's up with all of you?

Well, Vickie, what's up in Toronto is RAIN.

Yesterday was glorious, with the temperature all the way up to 60F. I even did some yard work.

Now, it is pouring rain and 40F. I'm heading out to see my former MIL, then going out to lunch, then to babysit my godson's four year old boy...a very wild child! Oh well, it's my anniversary present to my godson and his wife so that they can celebrate their wedding anniversary.

I'm going to make a soup:

left over steak
ff, low salt beef broth
can of diced tomatoes
can of drained and rinsed chick peas
ww elbow macaroni
spinach
seasonings to taste, maybe oregano

BBL, if I don't just collapse after baby sitting!

Oh, by the way, DH seems to be getting more serious: no more diet drinks. I gave him information from the American Heart Association and the Mayo Clinic on Metabolic Syndrome. I told him I would give up drinking wine at home for as long as he stays off the diet drinks. Gotta suffer alongside him..

Rhonda
