My problem is the Claritin--no stroke!!! I'm a happy camper.
Rhonda, you're right. I need to be careful. What about Doyle's side of the family? Did you know his great grandfather was a traveling hypnotist who sold elixir?
Vickie, my doctor suggested Singulair (sp?) but he told me not to take anything till after I see him after we get back from Louisville. He also told me to stop my cholesterol meds till then, too. I like him.
Maryann, I agree with you and Vickie about more protein--especially for bfast.
Coco, I know what you mean about wearing the same size. I do that, too. Maybe you were like me and were wearing too losee tops.
Looks like another day in the 50's but it just not warm enough to wear lighter clothes.
Nothing new,I forgot to get on the scale so I don't know the results until next week.
VICKIE-At least the Cape is quite this time of year so its only going to be the local driving to work on Monday. But I have to get up a 6AM as I have to leave a 7 to get to the court at 8AM. Going to take it slow and give myself 1 hr for traveling.
PAULA-

I grew up in MA and learned to drive with rotaries. I can understand how they can be scary! I remember learning to drive through them - we were told - Never stop. I guess that explains how most in MA drive
Lived in NY all my life and we had traffic lights instead. After a almost be side swiped by the panel truck it was scary. Leo had that happen to him and had to pull onto the grass to avoid an accident, the Man had a dog on his lap.
RHONDA-Thanks for sharing the recipe it does sound good.
COCO-Hopefully this will be my last year for jury duty as I turn 70 next year. You lucky you never had to travel on a rotary[round-about]Its four roads that connect by a circle in the middle of the roads,to get on you have to look on the left to see if you the circle is clear and the person in the rotary has the right away. Some rotaries are dangerous like near the BOURNE Bridge.Others are small, and easy to get into.
SANDRA-Happy to hear no strokes and the Clartin caused the dizziness. Never liked protein for breakfast other than eggs, breakfast sausages and bacon. But now I'm adding ham,and other meats sliced sliver thin with veggies. My DD told me that is what she does.Haven't tried her tuna fish in the morning that it think would turn me off.
Have a great day or weekend if I don't come back,Remember that I won't be posting this Monday as I'll be gone for most of the day.
Good Morning Chicks!!!! I just woke up and am having my first cup of coffee. Jim is on the treadmill and I'm off to see what you have been up to while I've been sleeping.
Paula, bummer on the missed weigh in. That's always a problem for me. I'm sure you'll have a terrific loss for next week. Thanks for the positive reinforcement. I had hoped to close out the tracker this week but TOM may still be here on Monday. I may just have to wait until the week after. Patience is a virtue but ever so hard in the weight loss arena.
Rhonda, our WW zero point soup is what is keeping us on program some days. I wish I was as creative as you are.
Mary Ann, good luck on Monday. Have you thought about peanut butter for breakfast on some toast? I've heard it has a lot of protein.
Oh Coco, please don't feel depressed! It could be a million reasons that the smaller sizes didn't fit. For one thing, I've always heard 15 pounds down to lose a size. But even that never worked for me. I think it depends on how close you are to your goal. Also, it depends on the store you were shopping at and even then who made the clothes. At Fashion Bug, I have to wear a full size bigger than at Catherines. Even within Catherines I wear different sizes; most often a 3X but sometimes 2X or 4X. I can't even wear the 3X outside the plus sized stores like Target, Walmart, JC Penney, Sears because they are all cut smaller than at the plus sized stores. So don't let the clothes manufacturers make you blue. Try to buy something that makes you feel pretty and feels comfortable and don't worry about what size it is. You are doing something about your weight so the sizes will go down eventually. I'm off my soap box now. I hated to hear the pain in your voice. But, cry on our shoulders anytime. I'm always doing it. NOW....where are you going and what are you celebrating that you have to get so dressed up? An anniversary?
Sandra, that's a relief! I took Singulair for a long time. It wasn't really working and it didn't seem to be helping make the smokey smell go away. I decided to try Xyzal instead of going back on Singulair. I heard some things about Singulair that concerned me. Reports are that it was causing depression in some people and suicides. Since I'd been having blueness with menopause, I decided to pass. I'm happy with the Xyzal. If your dizziness doesn't go away, discuss Benign Positional Vertigo with your Doctor. It comes and goes with no real rhyme or reason in people over 50. Jim had it once when we first got together and I had it a couple of years ago. It takes 10-20 days of medicine and it goes away and usually doesn't come back. I was so dizzy that I couldn't even roll over in bed without the whole room spinning. I hadn't even been that dizzy all through the 70's. And believe me.....I should have been dizzy in the 70's! Take care of yourself, my friend.
Time for my yogurt and grape nuts, and then my treadmill session. It's quite dark and dreary here and is expected to be so today and tomorrow. Why not walk on the treadmill. I can entertain Jim with my delightful singing voice (not). I have to make soup and applesauce this afternoon so I better get crackin.
Maryann, I got tickled at your talking about tunafish for bfast. Would you believe I used to eat that back in 1969 when I first joined WW? I made Ziploc omelets this morning. Made them with ham.
Vickie, I'm late but I'm here now. Thank you for the tips on the dizziness. I have had that exact same type. This time my eyeballs weren't bouncing around like they did before.
I've been working in the yard most of the day. I bought Curtis a pink jasmine today at Lowe's. It smells heavenly.
Well, our swinging birdfeeder is loaded with doves and they are swinging round and round. I'm guessing they'll be having dizzy spells, too.
..just passing through...we've spent most of the day at the storage unit getting our stuff better labelled and boxed. We're going out to our friend's for dinner..she's the carb queen so there goes my three days on Core...oh well, it will be delicious...
I woke up with a rotten headache. After taking sudefed and caffiene and
and using a cold pack it went away. We spent the afternoon on the lake
and grilled on the boat. The weather was a perfect spring day!!
My college boy is home for spring break.
I will just try to maintain this week because I love cooking his favorites when he is home.
Better get to bed since we lose an hour sleep tonight.
Good Morning Chicks! I didn't sleep great last night. Gynie sent me my test results which I made the mistake of looking at. Since I don't know what they mean all they did was scare the living daylights out of me. Of course, I can't make any kind of an appointment or see anyone until Monday. Oh brother. They Gynie only mentioned my thyroid and my cholesterol, but there are other high numbers.
I finally got on the treadmill around 3:00 yesterday. Jim and I thought it might help my stress level since I was practically hyperventilating. I got the applesauce made but no soup. I'll make the soup today.
Rhonda, I hope you enjoyed the dinner at your friend's house. It's only one meal. You'll get back on program.
Sandra, pink jasmine sounds wonderful. You'll have to post pictures of your yard once it is in bloom. How are you feeling?
Nancy, sounds like a migraine? I can't remember where you live that you were able to be on a boat at this time of year. We'd hit ice here in Chicago! Enjoy your Son's visit and just try to be as good as you can.
Nancy, enjoy your college boy's being home. Life is good.
Vickie, I wish I could have been there to help you destress. Try not to worry too much till you go to the doctor and find out what the results mean. Getting on the was wise. What are you planning for today? We were hoping for rain but it's looking like it won't happen today so I'll be out in the yard in a bit.
Rhonda, so what did the carb queen have to offer? Last night Curtis and I went into Grandview for an old-fashioned ice cream cone. He also got a Hershey bar and chocolate milk. I just had the cone but it was huge.
I need to get off here and go talk to my rosebushes. I'll catch you later.
Hi all. I finally made it back to healthy eating. I have been pretty bad the last 3-4 months, and decided I have to get back on track. I rejoined ww yesterday and gained 20 pounds back. I was surprised that I didn't gain the whole 32 back so I was happy about that. With the new plan they want you to start back with the momentum plan and I decided it was probably a good thing to do so I can get used to the portion sizes I should be eating. But my leader told me if I wanted to start the simply filling plan before the 6th week, just ask and they will give me the materials early. I was starving most of the day yesterday but stuck to points limit and got in all my healthy guidelines. I am mostly still eating "simply filling" foods though. Today, I wasn't as hungry as yesterday. Glad to be back with you girls. This time I need to stick to it all the way to goal. Hope I can make it!!
Hi Everyone
Not much happening this weekend.
Yesterday. A guy that our son works with. Came and cut down 3 trees for us. They were close to the main road. And limbs kept falling from them when the wind blew. So thought it was time to have them taken down. Then afterwards we took our son out to eat. Friday was his birthday. Went to Chili's. Had the guiltless grilled chicken. Was very good. Then went to Wal Mart so he could get stuff for his bucket.
Then today we went to church. Had lunch. Then we went to see where there was a big field fire late yesterday. But we couldnt find it. There was so many little roads off the one we were on. Didnt know which road to take. But had a nice Sunday drive. Then went to bother in laws. Then came home. That has been it. Pretty boring.
TWESTRA Glad to have you back.
TEJAS How is the storage thing coming. Sounds like you did alright with the eating. It is so hard to go to someone else's place to eat.
ONTARGET Glad they found out what was going on with you. Glad it was only the meds. Hope you have a good time in Louisville.
BEACHBUM Good luck tomorrow. Will be thinking of you.
NANCY237 Hope your headache is gone. And hope you have a good time with son.
Well I am going to get off here for now.
Hope everyone is doing ok.
Thinking of each of you.
