I thought I was the only one that was thinking this year went by quickly, but I see that I'm not alone. Hi everyone. I'm very new to Core, this is my first week and I've stayed OP since Tuesday, which is my weigh in day. I thought it would be difficult to switch from Flex to Core, but Core is definitely suited for me. I eat to satisfaction. I feel as though I'm getting all of my nutrition. I feel so much better than I did on two weeks of Flex where I actually gained weight.

I can completely feel that I'm losing weight and that when I exercise, I enjoy it.

At any rate, just wanted to chime in on this first day of November and say how much I am really enjoying the Core program.

Cheers and have a wonderful day all!!!

Sloanie, it helps a ton! Several people have told me now that family members or friends have taken Neurontin for other than epilepsy. My Internist said it should be no problem. I'm not happy with him though. We haven't been a good match for about 2 years now. I feel like he thinks I worry too much about things going on with my body.....maybe even something like a hypochondriac. So anyway, I'll probably take the medicine. Oddly enough, I've only had fleeting smokey smell for the lat 5 days. It almost make me feel like I should wait a bit before hopping on the medicine. I'm going to talk to the Specialist on Monday.

Thanks to all of you for caring!

Good Morning Ladies

Hope you all had a Happy Halloween,I did. I watched TCM movies all night long from 6:30PM until 1 AM.
We didn't have too many Trick 'n Treaters all day and than finally around 6PM we had 7 kids all at once.

Well I stayed the same this week,so in a way I glad with having canned soup with all the sodium I should have gained, but fortunately I didn't.

COCO-I wasn't going to buy anything for but a few families moved into our complex with children so thats the only reason. I'm going to used the left over potato chips & dorito's for topping on casseroles now that winter is approaching and colder weather is settling in.

SLOAN-Thanks,I tend to turn away from all that choc candy stuff for myself so why should I give it to the kids on Halloween. On the B/L they mentioned to get out small packages of playdoh.

RHONDA-Glad that you had a good time at the concert. As far as the chocolate candy why not melt it down and use it as a ice cream topping or for other topping uses.

PAULA-Happy I don't have that problem with candy as I have none. Thats great that you had 30+WPA's left You're very wise not spending all of your points, have to remember that in the future.Don't apologized,That pumpkin sauce for spaghetti sound interesting ,must check this out.

JOSLYN-Welcome to the thread, and telling us how you like thee Core. I felt that way when I switched from the flex to the core.To me it feels like you eating normally without all that measuring & weight foods before you fill you plate. I using 3 section plate to do my measuring.

VICKIE-Always know that we are hear for you.

Have a nice weekend,I will look in from time to time to see if anyone is posting

Joslynn. I hope you like Core and our chat board. Glad you just jumped in.

I looked at the mini goal thread for the woman who has lost 100 pounds and has only 40 to go. Very inspiring young woman; you might want to read her blog and look at her pictures.

Vickie: I'm glad you're hearing good things about people's experiences with the drug. Don't worry about the MD; they can get downright annoying sometimes!

I'm happy to report that I am not even tempted by the candy in the LR. I hope it stays that way.

Hi everyone. Busy Saturday. I did manage to walk the dog twice today. Thats 2 Activity points! Took DD shopping today - went to Micheal's to get some yarn. My new attempt in crochet is a hat. Want a laugh? I spent about 2 hours working on the hat. I have the circle going, I've got the count down to increase each row. I know I have to get the circumfrance to 15 inches. Well, I was measuring it across for the circumfrance. I was at 14 inches and could not figure out how this was not going to be too big for a baby. Then it dawned on me --- DUH, circumfrance not radius! Big difference. I ended up pulling out about an hour 1/2 worth of crocheting. I'm determined to get this to work as it will match the baby blanket I just finished. All good stuff for charity. I did find some nice suede/chennel yarn in a dark purple. It will make a nice hat and scarf for dd.

Not much else going on here. Looking forward to an extra hour sleep.

OH--- after we went to get yarn, went to Linen&Things. They are going out of business and I wanted to see if there was anything I could use. Nothing I needed, but dd wanted an icecream maker. So, I got a nice Cuisinart ice cream maker. As I was looking for recipes I found a few that were made with pudding mix, evaporated milk and milk. It gave me an idea -- I'm going to follow that one but use ff/sf cheese cake pudding, ff milk, skim milk and maybe some splenda. Then I'm going thaw out some blueberries add those into it when I freeze it. Worth a shot! Does anyone have any core icecream recipes?

Hi All:

Slow board this weekend.

Paula, I don't have even one core ice cream recipe but it sounds like you can make them up.

I've done OK this weekend, except for the buttermilk pie that DH begged for. I did have one regular slice, and one teeny tiny sliver. It's so goooood... was worth every single point.

I haven't been exercising as much as I "should" but haven't been a sloth either. We did some exterior painting today, thinking that it may be close to the last time we can do it before it really gets too cold. I stained the slats that form the front of the front porch. When I paint I bless the fact that my house is so small!

Hope you're all doing well.

Rhonda

I certainly am glad that I'm not alone in my Flex/Core thinking. It's nice to be on a board where people are understanding of this. When I mentioned this on the Weight Watchers board, I got someone really doggin' me out about changing and saying that they didn't think it would make a difference, since my issue was eating over my points. I really like the idea that I can use my activity points as I choose and that they stock up and I don't have to use them on the day that I exercise.

Thank you for the welcome beach bum and Tejas!!! I feel very glad to be here with all of you and I look forward to learning from you all and learning about myself in the process.

Cheers and have a fantabulous week everyone!!!

Joslynn. I'm glad you've joined us.

We sold our travel trailer this weekend and it's looking like we've sold the condo as well. Our heads are swimming. Everything happened so fast. Actually both sales were today. We should know by tomorrow afternoon if the condo is actually sold.

Vickie, we are here for you. We all worry about our bodies. Never think you're overthinking. You're not. You're being smart.
