Hi everyone. Been doing ok on plan until yesterday. I kept snacking on the halloween candy. I did put down about 12 points for all I ate (Its a guess, I really have no idea ). Even using those and counting the drinks with dinner last night, I'm ok on points for the week. The scale is up this morning, which I expected. I need to get back to plan.

I need to go catch up on last weeks thread. BBL

Good Morning Ladies

I guess this is confession morning from what we did or didn't do over this weekend.Friday W-I day was my cheat day and i finished my Halloween snacks[doritoes, popcorn, potato chips etc]and than on Sat & sun I was on program again and what I gained I lost again. So this week I going to eat lonely whats on my days menu.

PAULA-Thanks for starting us up this morning, I know what you mean as I did the same thing see the above post.Nothing worse than starting a new week using lots of WPA's from a bad weekend. Sending you & me some

SAMMI-Congrats on your 2.2 weight loss.I think that cool whip has hydrogenating veg oil in it so its a core no-no.

COCO-I have no idea why core doesn't allow healthy nuts on the plan.Good question to ask your leaders.

RHONDA-Thanks I will look up on the core recipe post for those baked goods. Congrats on your 1/2 loss.

Well, I'm not confessing!

But, my "penance" is a day-long restricted calorie approach. I'm having only water, tea, fruit, boiled eggs, salad and soup today.

I've been mostly Core, but just simply eating too much for the last few days. I need a break.

Hope you all have a great day and that some of our Chickies come back to the Chat thread. Sandra, Donna, Tracie for example. We know Vickie's taking a break but where are the rest of you? (Froufie, you know I'm talking about you )

Morning Everyone
Well I guess I will confess to. My week and weekend have been so-so.
So will see what the scales say tonight.
Thanks for the replies on the nuts. I am going to make myself a note and ask my leader tonight about why they are not core.
Well I am going to get off here for now.
Hope everyone has a great day. And a great "CORE" day.
Thinking of each of you.

Hey chicks! I was out of town this weekend to hear dh in a chorale performance at East Tennessee State University. The music was fabulous, and of course I enjoyed time with dh. I was off program on Saturday, but back on it for Sunday. I am so excited to report that I walked every morning before school last week! I have a walking buddy, so I hope that will keep me motivated.

Will you praying girls do me a favor and pray for my dh. His name is Vance. He had shoulder surgery a few weeks ago and is recovering nicely, but is getting really depressed from sitting at home. He will not be going back to work for several days, and he is really getting to be a bear. I know it could be a lot worse, especially compared to the other hubbies of our little group of chicks, but I can't really say that to him. He goes to the doc tomorrow, so maybe he'll be happier after his visit.

I'm reading about all of you, and it sounds like you all are hanging in there. I'll have more time tomorrow to speak to each of you. Until then, I'll be thinking of you all!

I'm guilty but not confessing. I'd call what I've been doing "a break" but "binge" might be a better word. Enough said. I'm dusting.

Sloan, Curtis had both shoulders replaced within a 3 month period a few years back. I totally understand what you and Vance are going through. I'm on my knees.

I have rehearsal tonight. Life is good. Keep on keepin' on, Chickies.

Sloanie, I'm gonna pray for YOU! He'll be fine but you're really suffering

Have a good rehearsal Sandra.

I've done very well on my restricted calorie approach today. I've had 18 points of food and have not been hungry. I ate something about every two hours, drank lots of water and herbal tea. I got sleepy around 3 PM, but that's normal.

I'm going to see if I can do this again tomorrow. If so, then I'm going to think about doing this about 3 days a week and see if that makes any difference to weight loss.

What really interested me was that I did not think about food all day.

Unhappy New On Core

Hello everyone
I am new to this website luck up on this site and just thought I would give it a try I started on Core two weeks ago and still have not really understand but is trying to eat just the core food. I was on the WW message board and felt like some of the member there was not really nice and very impatience when asking them about differ things. I guess it because they have been doing it for awhile I hope to be able to get some advise and motivation lost 0.6lb one week and last week gain 1.2lb and that been since switching over to core. I use to be able to walk alot but since than I have my 13yrs old neice who have alot of issue and maybe I am not putting everything in it. My real problem is knowing what to have for breakfast, lunch and dinner I work the 3-11 shift at the hospital so don't have very much time to do a whole lot of cooking along with having acid reflux and hate milk no more than to have it with cereal. So please help....Yolanda

Yolanda...so glad you joined us. This group is wonderful and patient and
glad to share what they know. You will get tons of encouragement
so keep posting. I only post every week but others are better than me at
posting more often.
Last summer when I was really doing the core faithfully I went
weeks with no results and all of a sudden I saw great losses every
week. My point is that your body may be adjusting so just keep with it.
I am trying to learn things to take for lunch also.
Find a list and keep it with you of CORE foods and soon it will just come naturally. At first it seems hard when you are learning but soon it is easier
than other diets.

I haven't been very good lately and am trying to get back to eating CORE.

Yolanda. This is a great board for support and understanding.

Rhonda, I like your idea of eating low cal but often. I think I'll copy you. (I haven't copied any of you in a long time and looks like I need to do so.)

Yolanda. As Nancy said, we are a patient and encouraging group. So, please post any question anytime and we'll help. Nancy had a good idea about keeping a list of Core foods with you. Then eat only foods on that list and drink lots of water.

I am going to try the lower calorie approach again today. I did break through and lost a little more weight. I'm only .5 pounds behind in my goal.

What I really liked was knowing that I would eat a little bit every few hours--mostly a piece of fruit with a glass of water or cup of herbal tea--so, I didn't even think about food much. I'll tell you what today is like.

to everybody

Rhonda
