OK, went to our first WW session. The depressing part is all the weight I managed to lose this year (from Feb to June, only 4 pds from goal) I gained back. So, I'm now at 15 pds from goal. I guess with dealing with my Dad being sick and his passing, it could have been worse.

I'm trying to be positive - but when I look in my books and see where I was just 3 months ago....its hard. I did go to ww on line and I reset my weight history. I don't need to see where I was and how much I've fallen. I'm also going to read the materials tonight to kick start myself.

Coco, did you like the Dr Oz book? I'm wondering if it may be a good thing for me to read as inspiration. Does anyone else have thoughts on that book?

Trying to keep it positive - the one good thing, I won't eat off plan for a while!!! I'm not going up any more than I have. BBL

BLESSEDWITHSARAH I did enjoy Dr. Oz's book. I am reading Dr. Phil's weight loss book right now. And it is really hitting home with me. And seems to be helping me get back on track. That is great that you are back in a WW meeting. Those help so much. Even though I have gained alot of weight back. I have kept going to my meetings. I tried a different meeting the last two weeks. And I have really enjoyed the leader of this meeting. But now my regular leader wants to know where I have been. I have been with her since I have been in WW. And I dont want to hurt her feelings. So guess I will go back to her. So hope this helps.
Have a great day.

Read the book, Paula. I found it to be very inspiring and motivating. I wasn't ready to commit at the time, but you are and I believe it will work for you. Thankfully, you caught yourself so that you have to lose 15 pounds once. Notice I didn't say....only. It's hard no matter how much you need to lose. You will do it and we'll help.

NOOOOOOO.....Coco, don't go back! Stick with the new Leader that is helping you and that you like. That is SO important. If you don't want to hurt the old Leader's feelings just tell her a little white lie. Tell her that the old meeting time doesn't work for you right now. You need to do what's working for you. She's an employee.

Coco, I 100% agree with Vickie. If you like the new leader, keep going to that group. A simple excuse that the other time doesn't work should be all that is needed.

This is about you not the old leader.

Maryann, good success to you with the Wendie Plan. Let us know how it works for you. I think Rhonda's right about stress causing fat to hang on. I remember reading that stress causes you to hold fat around your middle. Was that in the "You on a Diet" book? I think it was.

Sammi, your new goal sounds realistic. Good success to you.

Rhonda, I am picturing Doyle with a big smile on his face and a squint in his eyes. He loves you so much. Makes me smile.

Paula, don't get depressed. Life has its ups and downs and so does our weight. You're on the right track now. That's what matters.

Coco, last week our leader asked "Who has joined more than 3 times?" I raised my hand and explained that I have rejoined numerous times since my first meeting back in October 1968. We never give up. Energizer bunnies, aren't we?

I agree with Vickie, too. Do what works for you.

Vickie, what did you make for dinner? I made hamburger steak for the first time in ages. Curtis raved about it.

Thanks Vickie and Sandra for your supportive words. I need to focus on now and not look back. I''m going to look into the Dr Oz book for inspiration.

Believe it or not in a group of 17 women (30-60 in age) there was actually 2 WW virgins in the group today! One woman was from India, perhaps WW isn't there?? But no one could fathom being in WW now and NOT having done it before! I guess its good that we all keep trying.

Yes, it is, Paula. I think most of the women at my meeting are repeat offenders, too. I know I am. I'm a hardened ww'er.

Hello All,

Just wanted to post really quick. DH made it thru the surgery and after 13 hrs at the hospital I am home and beat, so I'm going to go crash. I am very proud of myself tho. I made a plan and packed a food bag and stuck to it. I'm so glad last night when I made dinner I made it for 2 even tho DH couldn't eat and stuck the left overs in the fridge, I usually don't because we're not leftover fans. But this time if I hadn't would have been included on my ride home but I knew I just had to nuke the leftovers. So I was good. Now I just have to stick with it for the rest of the week.

Have a great night/day everyone!

Tech...so glad to hear that the surgery is over and that you stuck to plan. Congratulations!!!! I hope you have a good sleep tonight.

Paula, the YOAD book is really good. Chock full of facts that are important to know.

Everybody, just keep doing what you should do more often than you don't and it will all get better!!

DONNA-TG that your DH surgery was a success, and that you held together during the ordeal. BIG CONGRATS & HUGS GO OUT TO YOU.You proved it can be done. You need lots of as your our inspiration.

COCO-Thanks for that pip talk you didn't write a book I appreciate all that you wrote. Sorry about your foot, and the weight that you gained back. Hope it will get better for you on you weight loss journey as it will for me. I should buy or take out of the library Dr Oz & Phil's books and get reading.

PAULA-I'm so sorry Yikes to be so close to goal when that happened, and I'm feeling sorry for myself. Oh Gee how selfish I must some on my post I so sorry ladies.YES thinking positive is the answer.Hope I will be able to to that myself.

SANDRA=All I can do is to give it a try and see if the Wendi Plan will work for me. I know I read the plan and they said it works for Atkins so why would it work for the core plan also. my fingers and I need some

Have to go excepting a bad no'easter tonight &into tomorrow so I going to get some grocery shopping done

Hugs

Good Morning All,

Woke up this morning feeling like I didn't drink enough water yesterday, I drank my usual minimum. Guess I'll have to up that while I'm @ the hospital.

Just wanted to post a couple of quick replies before I head out to mow the grass, return the disability peoples call to DH, eat lunch and head out to the hospital.

Coco - I agree with Vickie, stick with who you like! If the other wasn't working for you and you don't want to tell the white lie just say "I want to try something different to mix things up" She'll understand I'm sure.

Whoever mentioned it - I liked the "You" book also. I've been thinking about rereading it the last couple of weeks, funny how it came up here again

Sandra - Repeat offender here too......

Sammi - not only do you go to college in the UP your b-day is only a few days before mine.....hmm

Well, have a great day everyone.

For all of us -
