Good morning ladies. My change for the week -- I'm going to track my weight on Fridays going forward. I had been keeping it on Tuesdays as that was when I was going to meetings. But since I'm now doing the program on line I just realized I can pick my day.....So, Friday it is. I tend to use WPAs more on the weekend, so why not track my weight prior to that. I may even go to Saturday am. So, this week I'll write down my weight then.
Not much else going on here. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Good morning:
Thanks for the new pages, Paula.
I had a very busy weekend and went a little wild with the food yesterday. Hopefully I didn't use the points I had left for the week. But, it really wasn't all Core yesterday
I spent much of yesterday working in the back yard while the adult daughter of some friends of mine slept in my recliner in the LR. She has schizophrenia and had just travelled across Canada by bus! She showed up seeking refuge which we gave her, and her brother picked her up last evening. I hope she will be OK, but her compliance with her medication hasn't been the best recently. It's such a devastating disease, as I'm sure you know.
We were able to join friends for dinner last night and it was scrumptious. We were eating outside when our daily thunderstorm sent us scurrying inside to finish the meal. We were able to end the evening sitting outside though. My friend has a beautiful garden which is so relaxing to look at.
Toronto has many, many racoons. There is a family of five in my friend's neighborhood and they came visiting last night. They get very close to humans and entertain us with their antics: sitting on the fence and shed roof, climbing through the trees, chirping at us and one another.
So, stay CORE, drink your water and MOVE.
Cheers,
Rhonda

Good Morning Chicks!
Paula, tracking the 35 points on Core was KEY for me to lose. When I got lax with that, so did my weight loss slow down.
Rhonda, you sound relaxed despite the fact that it is Monday. Raccoons are very smart creatures. They moved into Jim's house once before I met him. Not nice creatures up that close!
I'm off to errands. I'm now looking for area rugs for my kitchen in french country colors...blue/yellow. I found gorgeous ones at Penneys. I can't get them though. They are dry clean, need slip pads, and can't be vacuumed with a regular vacuum....no beater bar. Sheesh. How practical are they? I have a big kitchen and like to stand on area rugs when I'm cooking. The ceramic tile kills me if I don't. And...with a muddy dog...no way.
Anywhoo.....I have a busy 3 days coming up to run around and shop and pick up the supplies for our tile backsplash. I think my counters are being pulled next Monday, installed on Wednesday and backsplash on Thursday. I'm tired.
Have a great day!

Hi chicks! Sorry about saying I would post the recipe and then failing to do so. I fought with my computer for at least an hour then gave up. I am at school for a few minutes, so I thought I'd say hello. Next week when I'm here more, I'll post the recipe. Hope you all have a great day!

Thanks PAULA for the new pages.Didn't realize that the new week starts on Mondays.
You've got a good plan having your W-I just before the weekend.Thats what I'm doing having more of my WPA's over the weekend that on the week days.
RHONDA-Did you track some of your points or are you guessing what you had??? I have a food journal espeically for the WPA's as I can't control the amounts without tracking. Hope you didn't use all of your points, but if you think you did exercise more & flush it out with H2O
VICKIE-Going to take care of myself as I want the grandkiddy's to come up next weekend. We have Area rugs are in my living room & dinning area but in the kitchen I had scatter rugs and Leo & I almost fell tripping on them now I have bare wood floors instead.
SLOAN-Computers can have there own minds sometimes. When you have a chance,no big hurry, have a great semester this year.
Hugs

Mary Ann...I misspoke. What I'm buying are what you call scatter rugs...area rugs are the bigger ones I think.
Sloan, we'll miss you until you get back.

Hi all! I am back on the wagon, dang it! I may be hanging on with one hand, dragging in the dust behind the wagon, but I'm going with it.
I can't do all Core foods, but I have a plan I think will work.
I actually went to the rec center with my sister today, and did the eliptical machine and some weight machines. Boy am I out of shape and sore!
I am tired of being overweight and feeling like I can't do anything about it. I can. And I will. I don't want to spend any more time feeling powerless. I've always said that I can do anything if I want it enough. Why is this any different?
I will try to post every day, even though I'm not doing strictly Core, because I know you all are a wonderful resource and motivation.
Time to go grocery shopping, since we're out of milk!
Angela

Hey, Angela, good to see you back. And, good for you getting on the elliptical trainer.
Yes, Vickie, I was relaxed today. I'm working on not letting my job run my life. It might work until September
Maryann: I just gave up last night and let my appetites take over. But, at least I didn't have two desserts
Have a great night everyone.
Where IS Coco???

Vickie,
Congrats on trying the plum. Nectarines are similar, and they are my absolute favorite fruit. I wonder if a plum would be as good as a nectarine is when stirred in with a bowl of cottage cheese?
I'm going to relax tonight and either watch some TV or read a good book. I need to get back to the library though - I've worked my way through all my books here. I'm so excited that this summer my girls have really been getting into reading. My 9 year old is a reading fanatic, and the 7 year old is imitating her. If I can get my 5 year old reading before kindergarten in a month, I'll be set.
Night!

Good Morning Chicks! I'm off to pick up tile and supplies and have a lovely lunch...mostly Core...at Sweet Tomatoes. I wish we had one close as it is quite far from home. Nice that it's close to the tile store. www.sweetomatoes.com. Then I'm going to order our new bathroom sink vanity. If I still have energy, we'll go look for a new powder room mirror. I'm not optimistic since I'm looking for oak and it's not in style. If I have to live with the old mirror, I will. Then...if the rain holds off....swimming. I was in the pool yesterday for about 2 hours. It's great stress relief.
Have a great day Chicks!

hey everyone..
My grandson is staying over today so that is always fun.
Doing a family birthday dinner tonight and I always resort to the same old
hamburger /cake routine. I am getting a small cake so there will be only one small piece person.
Our sides will be better than they used to be .
I am back to 142 and holding . If I can just stay there for 2 weeks
all the kids will be back at school and I will get strict again and I
think I can lose another 10 pounds.
My husband had chest pains last Monday and we rushed to the ER
and they found a 90% blockage the next day and put in a stent.
He is great now but it was really scarey. I was driving him to the ER
and he was worse and as I thought I should have called an ambulance,
I looked up and an ambulance was beside me at the light.
They took over !!! Ain't God good!!!
