Hi there! i havent posted in a really long time because i had given up on trying to lose weight but now im back in weightwatchers, on the core plan and have lost 7lbs! im maid of honour in my sisters wedding in march and my goal by then is 14 more lbs lost, but the problem is, every evening i go off plan and eat something carby, no matter how much i want to stay on plan! i had a really good food-day today but am so tempted to go mad and eat some toast or crackers and i really dont want to ruin my good work today! so if anyone has some words of advice or motivation i would really appreciate them before i go off the deep end!

Instead of something carby and snacky, how about some kind of raw vegetables: cucumber rounds, red pepper strips, celery, radishes, snow peas, etc. They give the nice crunch of the crackers but are much better for you.

How about if you switch to flex? That way, you can incorporate a few more carbs into your day, and you won't be cheating when you eat them. Or you could buy some carbs with exercise points!

Have some 94% ff popcorn. Add your 2 tsp oil(I usually use canola) and sprinkle on a little salt. You won't believe how good it is this way. It tastes like the fattening popcorn, but it isn't. After all, you have to have 2 tsp healthy oil every day.

Another thing I like is polenta chips, w/salsa. They are good and crunchy just like tortilla chips. They don't taste as good as tortilla chips, but with salsa on them, you'd never know the difference.

Also, if you make up a bunch of polenta chips, don't store them in a plastic baggie, store them in a paper bag. Then when you are ready to eat them, warm them up in the oven at about 350 for about 3-5 minutes. They get crunchy again. Kind of like the hard taco shells. They are kind of stale unless you warm them in the oven before using them.

Both of these help me when I want something carby or non-core, but they are core.

Would fruit work??
We have been having lots of watermelon at night.
It is so sweet and filling!!
Also more protein during the day helps me not have munchies at night.
One more idea...be sure you are drinking lots of water because thirst
can cause you to want to munch.

Do you like sweet carbs? How about two of those little ww cakes at one point each warmed up with 1 carton of the ww ice cream at two points for a total of 4 points. Since you get the weekly point allowance of 35 points, you could count your dessert toward that. Sometimes I plan that specific dessert, but save it for a time later than right after dinner. It is very sweet, but if you like that, it is perfect! Also, since you are craving carbs, what about a blue berry muffin? The recipe is on the core recipe board, and they are delicious.

Losing 14 pounds between now and March is very possible! Hang in there and start posting with us!

Try making some core muffings - there are lots of receipes here. That could curb the carb craving. Or plan on having some crackers with your 35 wpa -- be sure to either buy pre portioned packages or preportion them your self after shopping. That way you grab what is already there for XX points rather than eating out of the big box (my personal downfall!).

Good luck.
