Default New to 3FC!

Hi everyone! My name is Michelle and I am new 3FC but I have been doing the Core program for almost a year now.

I lost 18 lbs in the first 12 weeks and then unfortunately fell off the wagon for a while and gained back some of the weight. Not because the program doesn't work, but because I wasn't working the program. Luckily for me we started up our at work program for 11 weeks yesterday so I am ready and willing to be able to drop the weight!!

Currently I am down 6.6 lbs from my original weight and I am hoping to hit my 10% by week 5. I think that is a managable goal.

Anyway, I love the core program because I get to eat when I am hungry, which was a big problem for me on the points. I'd be hungry after I went to the gym and sometimes didn't have my flex points to eat something afterwards, and would only have a couple of WAP's to use. For some reason if I'd have 2 pts left at the end of the day I'd always eat something fun and not necessarily nurishing.

However with Core, I make sure that I eat all my fruits and veggies in the day and that way whatever I manage to eat at night (veggie wise) is always a bonus and if I am hungry after my work out, I can eat some whole wheat pasta and ff ricotta cheese and core turkey meatballs (my favorite) and feel like I"m indulging.

I love the recipes on line and have made the core corn bread and the beef stragonoff and love both of them. I have also made core baked ziti and lasagna that no one knew was WW friendly.

Thanks for letting me share and I look forward to exchanging recipes with you guys!

Michelle

I'll jump onto this post as well.. I'm new as well. This Saturday will be my second weigh-in. On my first week, I lost 9 lbs, so I'm pretty excited. I love getting all the recipes from the board, because I have to admit, beginning core was a little overwhelming for me, especially for work lunches. I get tired of salads very quickly..

Just wanted to pop-in and say hi!

Amybmid! Great to have you here. I also love trying all the new recipes. I have so many that I still want to try and have already found a bunch that I really like.

On the 9 pound loss! That's wonderful! You will love this board and the chickies here. They are great!

For lunches, I usually bring leftovers from dinner, salads as you mentioned, chicken or tuna salad(with 1/2 weight watcher pita, the pita counts as zero points), core soups, and always some kind of fruit.

Amybmid, just be careful. If you bought store made chicken salad, chances are it's made with regular mayo and not ff. If you made it yourself with all core ingredients, then it will be fine.
