Default Weekly Challenge June 30 to July 6

Thought I would start the challenge this week. How about if we each try 2 new recipes this week. Then let us know what you tried and if you liked it. I know some of us might be gone over the holiday so I don't want to make it too difficult. Does this sound ok with everyone?

I don't know if I will get in 5 days of exercise, but I will also try to get in more exercise than I have been, with has been none. With my pool going now, I should be able to swim laps and then I have water aerobics tomorrow and wednesday, although not sure if I can make it wednesday. So maybe I can do it at home. As long as it is warm and not storming.

Sounds good to me. I, too, will try to meet last week's exercise challenge.

I already know of one recipe I've been wanting to try, so I'm headed in the right direction.

OK, I tried the KFC cole slaw. It's a little more sweet than I prefer, but enjoyed it. I'll do my exercise DVD also.

bb, all the weekly challenge is, is someone puts out a challenge for the week, as I did the "try 2 new recipes this week". That was the challenge. Now we will need a new one for next week and who ever wants to start it, can start it. We have usually been switching back and forth, one week it's an exercise challenge of some kind, and the next it's a food challenge of some kind. That doesn't mean it has to be that way. But that's what the challenge is all about.

Unfortunately, I did not meet the challenge this week. Since we went up north I was too busy getting ready to go up north and didn't take the time to try any new recipes, and it's just too difficult to try new recipes up at the cabin because they don't have all the ingredients and it's a pain to bring all the different ingredients for a certain recipe. We make it simple at the cabin. For dinner, we cook over the open fire, on a tripod for our meat, and usually wrap potatoes, onions, garlic, a little olive oil(we used to use butter until I started core) and some seasoning salt in aluminum foil and put in coals of campfire until done. Plus we do corn on cob in foil in campfire. We did make broccoli on the stove in the cabin one evening but we try to make meals as simple as possible so we don't have to bring a ton of food up with us.
So, I failed my own challenge. But I have so many recipes that I want to try, that I will try 2 new recipes this week. Who's going to start our new challenge this week? Any ideas??

I can't think of a new challenge, but I will continue to try to increase

I can't make a smoothie Vickie...we can't get SF/FF pudding mix here...but I'll have a yogurt shake right and call it a new recipe!
