Default I've got a question:

It comes up periodically in ww meetings and here on the thread that for every 10 lbs you loose a size.

Now I know for myself this is not the case, since from my weight at 18 which is close to where ww says I should be, to my weight at my heaviest, I only went from a 12 to a 20. If I count even numbers only since that's how clothes are sized I went up 4 sizes for over a hundred pounds, if I count every number (which doesn't make sense to me) then I'm closer at 8 for a 110 lbs.

So my question is...

How many pounds did/do you have to loose to drop a size?

And how do you count sizes? True sizes or just numbers?

Just curious.

I have lost 17 pounds and am still mostly in the same size.

I did go down a size in my underwear panties.

I've heard 15 pounds per size. In my experience, I went down in sizes faster while on Core with less pounds. Does that make sense? I think Core help you lose inches.

Well I have been stuck in the low 230's for quite some time now and I did drop a size from buiding muscle and losing fat . I count inches more then pounds our bodies can weigh a difference of up to 5 pounds or more in certain parts on our cycles. So unfortanatly we have to just stay on plan and we will see the changes come soon I am now in a size 16 kinda lose and a tight 14 . I am tall though so that helps me drop sizes faster . If you have not taken measure do so and it will be helpful when you need to see some kind of loss . HTH

It all depends on how tall you are and your body shape. I am short so I change sizes (up and down) quicker than my taller friends. Also if I exercise, I lose sizes quicker per pound than without.

The first time I did WW I lost 55 lbs and went from a 16 to a size 4. That's 6 sizes (going by even numbered sizes) and works out to about a size per 9lbs.

Hi all! I'm new to WW and CORE- but I've been lurking I've been trying to understand CORE by reading the boards. I HAD to chime in on this one!! I've heard this rumor as well! I'm at 230 now but been down to 204 and my size 16 was loose- but not comfortably in a 14. For me personally- I think I'd need to get under 200 to get in a 14 comfortably. But- that may be because I am bottom heavy. I think the 10 pound rule may work on thinner people. 10 lbs on a heavy person has a different effect on on a thinner person. 10 might affect thinner people more than a heavier set person.

Does that make sense??

I've lost almost 16 pounds and am still wearing my 11/12 jeans (which is what I was wearing when I started). This is mainly because they sit below my stomach I think, and my hip bones can't really change size, just lose a bit of the excess fat around them. My jeans are loose, but I can still wear them with a belt and they don't look sloppy or messy.

Okay lke whose clothes are not tight on them to begin with? In my case a lot of my clothes are very forgiving and have elastic waists - so while I am heavy they fit and when I lost weigh - they fit better - not as tight and uncomfortable - it takes a very long while for me to change sizes. I do start to notice when my shirts button up without 'pulling' and I don't need to wear them as a 'jacket' with a tee or camisole underneath - can't wait for those shirts to get roomy again (and I think I am top heavy).
