Default The Great Featherweight One Week Challenge - Nov 5th - 11th

Good afternoon everyone! How's your week been? What's gonna be your 'thing' this week?

I was expecting my niece this afternoon, so I haven't started anything new ... waiting ... she's a tad later than I thought she'd be. So in my impatient wanderings ... I've made protein pancakes and thought a bit ... took some geraniums in and thought a bit.

I do think I'm onto something with the heart rate ticker. I think I'll do that again this week.
On Halloween, I had a day soo bad I didn't even finish putting it in fitday. That's really a no-no in my book. Now I have no way to assess the past week effectively. Track, track, track ... it's a must!
And of course with my new gusto for improving cardio ... I let weights slip to maybe two days. Not enough.
So I guess my plan is just a little more vigilance.
How about you?

I had the most amazing walk this morning (with a bit of joggin mixed in) I could have gone one forever ... have to get to church tho ... they like it so much better if you shower first
If I could do that every morning, I'd have the best butt!

Lost another pound this week. I've been showing a two-pound loss for most of the week, but the scale inexplicably took one of those back this morning. Perhaps too much salt yesterday. I went to a reception in the evening where there was lots of yummy finger food. I was proud of myself for not diving in headfirst, but I did eat some. It's always tricky eating food that's been prepared elsewhere. Anyway, I'm glad for the pound.

You get to be a little paranoid about anything you don't make yourself don't you

Good Morning Featherweights! I really need your support this week! I'm trying to get to the gym ATLEAST 4x this week. 60 or 120 minutes (120 at the most) of cardio a day. I really want to get this weight off. I know I cant do it without exercise but I get discouraged easily when I dont see results quickly which I know is wrong since I know I didnt put the weight on quickly. I also want to drink atleast 70z water/daily. lots of fruits & veggies. Trying to do HIGH FIBER! Good luck everyone!

I use head games. I'm not sure if this is even remotely true but ... I think that if I can feel in my muscles that I worked them yesterday ... they're still using calories today. To heal, ya know?
So if I don't have that gentle encouraging ache today ... I need to make sure I have it tomorrow.

Congratulations, Jazzbird! Another pound down!!!
Such a high to see the scale moving downward. Yaa hooo!

Even though my scale is at a stand-still, I feel strong this morning. I just had an eggbeaters scrambed egg. Only about 50 cals, now off to exercise at the gym. I went to the library and got 2 dance aerobics videos, so I'll pop those in this afternoon. I need a change from my regular routine and I love to dance, so hopefully those will be fun.

Bye now

I was doing good all week, eating more or less okay in spite of the move, not exercising but still coming down by 2 lbs. . .

And then, I had the most horrible off-the-wagon weekend EVER. Putting it in Fitday, I just kept adding and adding and ADDING. Needless to say, the 2 lbs are back with a vengance.

I am leaving on Friday to head to Missouri to visit friends & family for a week & attend not one but two weddings. . .so next week is pretty much a wash already. . .so THIS week, I will:

Eat clean.
Exercise EVERY DAY.
Not drink alcohol (enough room for that next week!).

And I WILL lose these two pounds, PLUS a bonus pound for good measure, by the time I hit Missouri!

Argh.

Good afternoon my shrinking friends! I had an astronomical walk this morning! It's so lovely here today! 59 minutes with a little jogging mixed in. I feel quite accomplished!

Now if someone had just done the housework while I was gone

I'm so pumped! I did a step workout this morning and my knee doesn't bother me at all! I've been doing PT exercises for about four and a half months now, so it seems to doing the job. I love this stuff 'cause I work up a real good sweat and it's FUN. Woohoo!

I love step. I wish my gym offered it at times of day that were more convenient for me - I used to go 3x / week at my old gym, now I'm lucky if I can make it once.

SusanB, I have to agree with you on the weather here - I went for a 3 1/2 mile run on my lunch break, and it was FABULOUS! Definitely motivates me to get out & take the dog for a walk after work, 'cause who knows how many more days like this we're going to get?

This part of Ontario was gorgeous today too

I need to get more focused... I am having such a difficult time with Coffee Crisp Bars in the can at work...I was ok, hadn't even seen the container till I heard someone open it up.. I had 5 of those little suckers at 80 cals a pop, my calories are up to 1516 for the day... Not bad, but not great!

My problem is not exercise I can get out there and do something daily it's just the food and the weekend ...

One good thing is that I've drunk all my water already today so I will drink more before the evening finishes... I also made a great vegetable soup this morning, which is a lifesaver when I get home famished at 5PM....

Arghh, I just remembered that I ate an egg salad sandwich and it brought my total to 2000 cals for the day

It's soooo odd to have my face there. I don't think I like it.

Another good day gals. I have to work for the next three and I'm kinda bummed. I'm in such a groove!
