Good morning!
I am glad that this weekend is over.....not that it was an awful one, but I need some time to myself.
Geri- thanks for starting the new thread. And glad you and Will enjoyed that cake! Sometimes ya just gotta do that..... How was the pork tenderloin? Oh, and yes I was a child bride...........ahem............well, I ain't no spring chicken anymore!
Candy-I am so sorry that your ear is not improving. A few years ago, Dh had a similar problem, with an ear that would just not get better- he ended up in an ENT's office (ear-nose- throat) who had just the medication to treat it. On top of the antibiotic pills, the ENT put Dh on antibiotic ear drops- which after weeks of pain, cured him. Just an idea- I feel so bad for you.
Ricci- if you have not had the ww pasta, it really does not taste much different. The brown rice is another story- but I like the taste better. Funny story from your church yesterday- kids can be so funny. About Prevnar- Dh works for the company that makes it......and I used to work in the dept that fills the product into vials. Currently, there is a national shortage of Prevnar, and the pediatricians are only giving it to high risk patients and the first 2 doses (supposed to be 4 doses). My Dd is too old for the stuff- most doses are given before the age of 3 (I think). But it is a good vaccine- especially in preventing some of the illnesses that can cause serious injury to kids- meningitis etc...... And believe me, I did ask the pediatrician about it when I took Dd in- I knew all the background info, but am not up on all the latest, so I thought I would ask. Sounds like you had a nice breakfast too!
Andrea- sorry about your financial woes......I do not have much advice for dealing with the credit card companies. You might want to check out a web site- Crownministries.org (I think!). It is a Christian financial planning group- they do sell stuff, but also offer lots and lots of stuff for free. No, they will not preach to you......or get in your face. I used to listen to their radio show about finances, which was excellent. Anyway, there is a consumer credit bureau or something like that- that can help intercede with credit companies. Of course it helps that you have been paying all along and are not delinquent.
As far as jobs go- well, I have no idea what your interests are and can only speak for here in NY. I became a bus driver- because it fits my kids schedule- summers off etc...... I have a pension plan- some benefits (vision care, dental) and if I took a route with more hours could have major medical.
The district trained me for free- although I was not paid until I passed my liscence. Starting wage- again here in NY was $14/hour- and I am now making a few dollars more than that per hour. No, it is not for everyone, and your family is young. But an idea, and also a very family friendly job. I will pray for you....
Penny- weekends mess me up too!!!!!! Hope you get back on track.
Spryng- how did you fare eating last night????? Hope you were able to avoid all the bad stuff!!!!!! Did you enjoy the tanning session?
Well, I got a short walk in this am. Probably another one after dinner- before the 4-8 inches of snow we are supposed to get tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will this winter ever end??????????? Gotta go get the last load of wash out...... Have a great day!
