11/26 - 160 OH MY GOSH!!! Don't know what happened there. I still pretty much stuck to points while the computer was crashed, except for pizza and a couple of beers on Saturday night...then right back on plan the past two days. Maybe it's the bread. I bought a loaf of pumpernickel at the farmer's market and have had a sandwich for lunch the past two days. With low sodium turkey breast, tomato, pickles and lettuce HELP!!! I was hoping to at least get close this month. Back to the old drawing board. Freaking out though, because I was hoping to cheat just a bit for the holiday...Maybe not now.

  • boatingmommy: it's possible for bread to have lots of sodium (most commercial loaves do) but I would expect better from something I bought at the Farmers Market. Can you freeze the rest of the loaf? I wrap bread in aluminum foil and then put it in a ziploc for the freezer. Try something else today and drink lots of water. You can always go back to the pumpernickel later.

I had my first 100%OP day in I don't know how long. I've been hitting the 90% rate consistently for a week or more but could never quite get to 100%. Woohoo! I may even weigh myself tomorrow.
  • Still at 178. I had hoped to drop back down before Thursday since I'm making Thanksgiving my cheat day, but I don't think that's going to happen. I kind of feel like I did around my 197 set point, which took me 4 weeks to get completely away from. I was trying to remember what my set point was below that one, but it's been so long that I can't remember exactly. I'm thinking it was in the upper 170's, maybe 178-179, so I kind of anticipate that I'm going to be going up and down in the upper 170's/low180's for a while till my body can reset itself. We'll see!

Joy, good job on the 100% OP day!

StilettoLife, I hear ya! That's the kind of stall I think I'm headed for. Just hang in there! It will eventually pass!

Boatingmommy, glad to have you back! And the spike could be the bread. Grain carbs attract water. Don't get nervous. It's just water, not fat, and it will drop back off! Drink enough water to help it along!

    Kelijpa, yay on the whoosh!

183, lol, well I was going back down! Oh, I don't think Jillian has all the right answers. I do think there are plateaus, but I also agree that many of us just start allowing ourselves to eat a little more, and in that sense, it's not a true plateau. Congrats on the drop!!

Minneey, congrats on the new low! Woohoo!

Woodstock, so close! Just one more lb!

Mainecyn, it's more like you're holding steady in the 170-171 range. Hang in there! Stay OP and your scale will start moving again soon!

Turtle, I do believe 154 is a set point for you! Just keep going!

Cincorn, great job!! Congrats on smashing goal!

Watchoutforthatcar, fantastic! Congrats on making goal!

Rsadler, wow! Great job on losing weight while traveling! On to goal!
  • Goal reached for the month!! Its my first time being able to say there here, so I am feeling accomplished The number is a bit of a jump so i'm curious to see what happens in the morning, but regardless, this is good

183 - that is some impressive running. Hope you managed to stay on plan afterwards - exercise makes me so hungry (especially for chocolate).

Hang in there Jacqui and boatingmommy !

Pleased my whoosh has stuck. I might even manage to loose a bit of weight this month - have a hen weekend coming up so 1st December is likely to be a bad weigh in day ... O

    Good morning you guys

I'm not sure what's going on with my weight, but I'll sure take it! I kinda overslept today - usually never happens to me. I woke up at 4AM because my upstairs neighbor decided to have an afterparty, and ended up texting with my friend in a different time zone instead of going back to sleep. And then I just snoozed the alarm 15x. Anyways, I'll get going.

    Have a great day everyone!

Thank goodness. I took everyone's advice and stayed away from the pumpernickel and it seems to have helped. Now, just to get through the next couple of days. Thank you everyone for the support...it really helped! Glad to see so many losses...wow, everyone!!! Way to go!!! Happy Turkey Day Eve!!!
  • Thank you everyone who wrote messages of support for my last (somewhat) depressing message over my running. My sadness towards that has been replaced by a, umm, frustrating break-up with a friend of mine. I got peeved at her immaturity (a 28yo who acts like a 10yo) and blocked her on FB. She doesn't contact me any other way and because she plays the victim, I know she won't try to reach out to me. I guess the lack of closure is bugging me, but I just can't deal with her any more without exploding since she's already proven she can't hold an adult conversation without turning it onto herself or cute animals.

Stress with me invites indulgences. I can tell you with confidence that I've put on a kg this month and probably half of that has come in the last 10 days. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets worse, but then I don't know how much is due to my TOM stuff.

I have loads of stress but I know I can deal with it. My first hurdle is letting go. This is the hardest thing for me because I'm a thinker and a dweller. (This post proves that I think and dwell too much! There has been heaps I've deleted lol)

Anyway, I'm logging my weight from this morning totally aware that I've not reached my meagre goal for yet another month. And here I've been trying to get ready for summer at the beach! Oh well, I'll have to wear something nice next year.

End of November weight: 65.9kgs (I ate and drank before I weighed myself)
  • Congrats, Turtle11, on seeing normal BMI! I had my goal set to a round 170 but when I got there, I just had to go 2 more pounds to normal BMI. My doctor said (when I was 180) that there's no magic in that number, but everyone makes such a big deal of it that I really like being here.

Rhiko: here's the place where you get to think and dwell. It's great to write it all out on 3FC and think it through so that you can start to let go.

I didn't weigh myself for a couple of weeks because I was so sure that my few days derailed caused a big gain that I didn't want to see. Turns out I wasn't doing that badly.

    SW: 76.2 kgs
    CW: 75.7 kgs (-1.15 kgs)
