Start weight, minus 100 lbs, round down to the nearest 5. Setting an initial goal greater than 100 lbs felt too overwhelming, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to do it. My denial about my weight over my lifetime has been profound and pervasive- I have no idea what I weighed in high school or at any of the other typical benchmarks people use. I figure I'll do the 100, and then see how I look and feel, and go from there. Baby steps (sort of)
