Almost through the weekend, yay! We have so many bad weekend habits to change (over eating and over drinking mostly) that they've become quite stressful for me, and I have to hang on tight to get through them!
Today is my 1 month "spreadsheet" weigh-in, and over that month I really cleaned up my act except for the once-per-week 1-meal binges I was having and am now trying to completely stop. Over the course of the last 4 weeks I lost 18.4 pounds, yay! And while there were days it felt like torture, there were other days that it felt just fine. So I hope that over time that's what more and more of the days feel like!
Binge free day 6 (almost a week without a single scrap of unplanned food passing my lips, yay!)
Binge free day 8. Last night was haaaaarrrd, because I had to prepare food for mu husband late in the evening and I hate having to deal with food when I'm not eating. I felt very close to losing control, but hung in there.
Yay, My_Michelle! You're doing great. That is tough for anyone to prepare food while not eating it. Good job sticking it out.

I'm not getting anywhere near the 75kg mark right now, but this is giving me useful information. Maybe my maintenance weight is going to be below 76kg rather than below 75kgs. I think I can live with that.
Every time I think I've got this beast's number I slip up. But, now what I can do is NOT repeat the binging, not backslide. I'm not going to dwell on the mistake. I acknowledge I made a mistake and I'm moving forward. I think I know what triggered the binge, and I'm going to try to avoid that situation again. And I've written down a couple of ideas for last-minute binge avoidance and taped them up in the kitchen.
Yay, Tabbycat! Who else is meeting their August goals? I won't be meeting mine -- I'm rethinking what I want to set for my September goal.
