    Today I surpassed my hopes on the treadmill and ran 0.34 miles instead of 0.32. It's not much more but every little bit gets me closer to my goal! I can and will do this!

    I had a busy day today, computer problems and closing out the books. I will catch up with everyone this weekend. I have time for only a few personals.

  • As of today, I've lost 30 pounds so far (>10% of my body weight)!!!!!! I started eating slightly better as of June 10, and calorie counting again as of July 10.

    Next stop, 20%

  • today's weigh in: still 148.8 lbs
    i'm really hating this week. my work has been keeping me until 11pm - 1am and it's really messed up my sleeping schedule and weight loss because i still always get up at 8am no matter when i go to bed.
  • Starting weight: 302. Weight as of today: 300. That made me smile a lot.

    I'm up over 137 again, as I knew I would be. I didn't stuff myself at the picnic but I went way over my calories for the day. No matter. The big news is that I won the door prize - a Kindle Fire! I'm stoked, as I never would have bought one for myself. I enjoy reading and I love books (I have lot of bookcases), so I'm curious to see how I'll like using an e-reader.

    I went to the Talbot's outlet again today and bought 4 fall dresses for $20 each - sweet. And, the best part - size 10!

    I hope everyone has something fun planned for the weekend. I'm going to a luau, which should be a hoot.
  • weight stay the same. I am not too sad. I am telling myself it will be better tomorrow. I walked 2 miles today while my youngest was at mini camp. We had cancelled our Y membership in May. It was just too much money and no one was using it. I think I will have to restart it because my walk yesterday was cut short because my youngest got tired. Maybe only I will join. That will cut it in half.

  • Hey folks, thanks for all the encouragement and kind words.

    I did weigh in at 155 this morning which was so great to see - I can finally really think of 155 as my current low, not the travel-dehydration-induced 155 of my first days back from India, back in March. It's amazing that it took me so long to get here for real.

    Anyway - at the Newport Jazz Festival this weekend - not much exercise and hopefully not much overeating too, I have good snacks with me and a plan to stick to. I will probably bounce a bit on Monday but - I hope not.

    Glad to see so many of you also seeing losses to end the week - good luck and good strength through the weekend!

    i bought myself one! it's amazing!
    and the best thing is, if you have wifi or go to a place with wifi, you can access the android app store and download apps for yourself!
    i downloaded a ton of *FREE* children apps. things like educational games, simple games, and even children's books for my siblings to use.

    but watch carefully while in the market to make sure it's free. even though it may be, it'll still say "purchasing" instead of "downloading," and i've had a few heart attacks "purchasing" a free app.

    so i finally had 10+ hours of sleep last night (WOW!!) and i was excited to get an accurate weigh in this morning, only to find out TOM started.
    now i'll have to wait a few days. (:
  • I weighed 258.2 this morning. Now that TOM has ended I am back to where I was for last Sunday. We'll see how the official weigh in is tomorrow.
