  • I was lazy yesterday and did nothing, so I kicked it today:

    20 mins bike, 55 mins weights & stretching, 80 mins walking (I couldn't waste the beautiful day!). That gets me to 720 out of 1800 for the month.

    June 3 - 2.6 miles walking + 1 mile jogging (3.6 miles total; 50 minutes)
    June 4 - 2 miles walking + 1 mile jogging (3 miles total; 40 minutes)
    June 5 - 1 mile walk + 2.5 mile run @ 5mph + warm up/cool down walk and stretching (4.3 miles total; 70 minutes)

    June 7 - 2.5 mile run @ 4.8mph + warm up/midpoint/cool down walk and stretching (3.5 miles total; 55 minutes)

    Thursday's run was in Santa Fe, at 7000 feet elevation (much higher than I'm used to!), so I had to drop the speed and do a few minutes walking in the middle to make sure I was keeping my heart rate down.

    Well, my original goal was 1000 fitness minutes (any exercise could help fulfill this goal). I really thought it would be a reach as my exercise had been inconsistent and seemed more like a chore than doing something healthy and good for myself. This challenge has inspired me; now it looks like I'm going to have to set a new goal for myself which is great. One of the great things about fitness and exercise goals is that there always bars we can set and challenges we can create for ourselves.
