3 things I want to do....

You're on Page 6 of 8
Go to
  • 1. Be able to try new things and not have to worry about looking silly. I can't do looking silly and having people think I'm too fat at the same time. Just one or the other.
    2. Be a good role model to my daughter and students. You can do anything, if you are willing to really try.
    3. Go on a vacation where skinny people go, like Sandals or some other resort and feel like I fit in.
    4. Have other men look at me and think, "her husband is one lucky guy."
  • Quote: 7. Travel
    8. Sit cross legged
    9. Not have a belly

Think I could do this all day
You totally crack me up! Keep going!

    Quote: Get back on skis.
Take horseback riding lessons(without being afraid I will kill the horse with my lard butt). Lol
Swim a 500 freestyle in under 10 minutes(my ten yr old does it in 7).
I want to ride now too! I have the horses I just have always liked them too much to ride them...however, I think the time has come!
  • 1. Be a good example for my children
    2. Go rock climbing
    3. Knit myself a sweater (without taking 3 years and tons of yarn to do it because I need a huge size)
  • 1. wear a bathing suit, maybe even a bikini and not grab for a towel or coverup as soon as I get out of the water.
    2. wear cute dresses and high heels
    3. feel in control of my life by being more confident at work and at play.
  • - Not be the invisible fat woman or the ridiculed fat woman, ever again.
    - Build a new life at 59 that will be even better than what has come before.
    - Get this pancreas/food thing so drummed into my consciousness that it
is automatic, so I can redirect some of that focus into getting other things done.
  • What a great thread - so glad it's come to the top!
    My 3:
1: shop in "regular size" stores
2: buy new dive skin and SCUBA wet suit that are actually a ladies' size instead of mens 4XL.
3: keep my knees for a LONG time. (I have "crunchy" knees and I know the weight is hurting them - I'm sure they'll feel so much better once there is less stress on them).
  • Love this thread!

1). Not wear a vest/long sleeve shirt everyday in the winter (to cover up various body parts)
2). To wear a cute swimsuit/tankini and get rid of the swimdress
3). To allow IP to really be...."My Last Diet"!!!
  • Quote: 1. Ride my horse well enough to win a blue ribbon at our local horse shows
    2. Surf
    3. Ride my bike to work regularly
I love this Trip what great things to look forward!
  • my three
    I love this thread!!

    1. to live life like a person who doesn't have to be prejudged on weight
    2. work out on a regular basis and look good doing it!
    3. show my family how good healthy can be and lead by example!
  • 10. Yoga like I used to practice
    11. Jump and spike a volleyball
    12. Wear my favorite burnt orange pants, they are a twelve I believe
  • My 3:
    1. Be comfortable in my skin. I'd love to be able to "pull off" any type of outfit and not have to worry about a certain area I need to cover up.

    2. Know more about nutrition and be able to give out advice and share my story.

    3. Find an activity/sport that I love and keep with it.
  • 1. To look good, be at goal and have confident at my Daughter’s wedding in Sept.
    2. Wear cute and sexy clothes for a cruise I am going on in Jan 2013 and not moo-moo dresses.
    3. Looking at pictures of me looking slimmer not fat !!!
  • - Enjoy having my picture taken again
    - Be healthy enough to have children (then start the diet over but I’m sure it will be easier)
    - Feel like myself again
    - Shop in normal sized clothing stores
    - Comfortable enough to wear a bathing suit
    - Wear a dress (silly but I have not had one on in years as I could never find one that fits right)
  • Almost a year since the last post but since I'm new I guess its ok

My 3 things would probably be:

    1. Buy clothes I really want, not the clothes that fit
    2. Stop using age as an excuse for not doing things when size was an issue, amusement park rides, sports, etc.
    3. Be comfortable with the way I look and feel
  • Thanks for bumping this thread!

1-get my heart surgery so that I don't have to worry about dying from a blood clot.
2-be more comfortable in general. Sitting in movie theater seats, restaurant booths, clothes fitting properly.
3-not worry that I'm an embarrassment to my daughter. (She's never acted as if I am, and loves me unconditionally, but I still worry.)
