Good Morning, All…
Very bright and sparkly this morning. We’re still getting some afternoon showers most days, so that makes it nice.
Bobbi – sounds like the reunion was a good one! I’m sure you did your DH proud! And my drinks of destruction in my besotted and wasted youth were hard… scotch, bourbon, anything I could get my hands on. I was never much of a wine drinker. It’s been 30 years now since I cleaned up my act… and that statement just boggles my mind! OMG, the color test is accurate for me! Yellow and green, either is so true! That was interesting.
Rosey – I hope your DH is feeling better soon! It sounds like you’re so much enjoying those two new pups! I’m glad Daisy is so tolerant. She knows she’s her mommy’s favorite!
Mary – you mentioned buying candles… I saw a blurb that Prince William’s new bride, Kate, (a close personal friend) spent $15,000 on candles because their apartment in Kensington Palace smelled musty… Somehow, I doubt she bought Glade! I didn’t know that overcooking cabbage makes it stinky; I’ve never had a problem when I cook cabbage, which I do a LOT… and maybe that’s why!
MKaren – oh, that’s true! Anything homemade, eaten on Sunday, is calorie free. That also applies to eating out if it’s with someone you haven’t seen in 3 months or more! True, ladies… true!
Lynn – I’m still confused, I think: “From Urban Dictionary - A male displaying perceived feminine characteristics through actions which cause his peers to think less of him. Being a big girls blouse is much worse than being just a girls blouse, thus it's highly insulting nature. Also used to force a man to do something they fear through peer pressure.” I did find this link which, at least, is kind of fun: http://www.worldwidewords.org/qa/qa-big3.htm. And this is why I enjoy KoalaLou’s posts so much!!
PT/Zoe – sounds like a lot of salt in your dinner last night, which might account for the >1#. Isn’t this weight nonsense just, um, like, TEDIOUS????????
Have any of you read the Sara Paretsky books, about private eye V.I. Warshawski? They’re pretty decent, too, a good mystery. The one thing I like is that the author has aged her main character. The one I’m reading now, Guardian Angel, (written in 1992…. how did I miss it??) has her at age 39; the last one I read had aged her to 50. I visualize her as a younger Kathleen Turner.
Of to do… something. Any breaking news, I’ll let you know! Otherwise, have a lovely one, lovelies!
