I'm New!

  • Hi there, I'm not sure I'm posting correctly, or what a thread is versus everything else... I just wanted to introduce myself. I went shopping today and discovered that after several years of intention to get back down into the size 6 range, I have in fact climbed up into the size 10 range. Eek. I really had no idea! I feel like I don't look too bad, but I tried dress after dress at multiple stores, thinking maybe the stores ran small. Nope, I run big! So, I'm here, looking for some motivation. I am starting a diet with a deficiency of 500 cals (putting me around 1300 calories allowed per day). The bummer is, I calculated that it will take me 2.5 months (10wks) to lose 10 lbs at that rate. Man, depriving myself of 500 calories seems so hard, I can't believe that is how slow it will take for the weight to fall off. Anyway, I'll be here charting my progress and cheering others on! Nice to meet you!
