  • I weight myself every morning before after I use the restroom. I've read that people who weigh daily lose twice what the people who weigh weekly/monthly do because of having that accountability.

Weighing daily has its ups and downs. Like this morning, I went up 0.8, but my muscles are way sore so something is changing!

Makes a lot of sense. Im getting a lot of feedback, and now it's hard to make up my mind! Haha. Thanks though, your words help
  • I weigh weekly and in the mornings. You tend to weight less in the mornings, but the key is to be consistent about the time you weight yourself. I don't stress over the daily numbers because there are fluctuations depending on salt intake, hormones, etc.
  • I weigh first thing in the morning (not every morning but always first thing when I do weigh) and completely naked, after a pee

But no matter when you choose to weigh, the most important thing is consistency. If you choose mornings, for example, stick to that. Or if you weigh before bed, stick to that. Your weight can fluctuate quite a bit throughout the day and you may find that you weigh more at night than you do in the morning due to food intake, water retention, etc. You'll find those 3 pounds lost to be more accurate if you compare apples to apples instead of oranges.
  • Thanks, makes sense. I think I'll be doing it mornings after I use the bathroom, and after I shower.

I think for now I'll stick to an every other day schedule, and see where it takes me.

Thank you all for your input!
  • Every morning. If it is starting to stress me out I decrease it to maybe twice a week to try detach my emotions from the scale
