I've really been struggling with my weight the last 3 years. Last month I committed to the Ideal Protein Diet and so far so good..
Anyway, I haven't found a lot of "connection" on that board, so here I am..
  • Hi whisperingshouts! What is your weight (or other) goal for memorial day? Congrats on your 15 pound loss so far!

Quote: I come home from work and feel bleugh and wish I could work out some. I can't wait for the elliptical to get here. I'll let you know how it goes. The only thing I'm concerned with right now is getting it up the stairs and putting it together. I'm not too handy lol.
I know exactly what you mean! I can never get myself to the gym either because I'm too tired to go out of my way to do it or I'm just not motivated enough to do it. I'm glad I have things here, including my workout DVDs, to work with. I hope you're having fun with your new elliptical if it came!

Quote: NorthernBelle: UGH and OH NO, that is a VERY CRUEL SCALE, hang in there, you'll be in ONEDERLAND any day . . . patience or at least that's what I keep telling myself . . . what is that saying; patience is a virtue, well I HAVE NO VIRTUE . . . at least with myself . . .
Yeah, it was extremely frustrating, but it looks like you were right! I wasn't very patient myself, though. I couldn't wait until weigh-in day because I wanted to hold on to that 198-199 I kept seeing all week and I was worried that I would somehow sabotage myself before the week's end. This was the longest week ever! A weight loss journey can drive you mad sometimes lol.

Congrats to everyone who's lost weight this week, and even if you haven't, congrats on keeping it going!
  • @Northern Belle- Congrats! Patience is a virtue in this evil game of weight loss. Sometimes I get so frustrated with that damn scale that I want to throw it out the window, then the following day it's my BFF. I always recite to myself that "It didn't show up overnight so it's not going to go away overnight".

@Jomatho- That's a really great loss for this week. Keep up the good work.

BTW, are we officially reporting on Saturdays? I'm a daily weigher and just pop in here every few days for updates.

    Morning ladies

Another week gone and one week closer to SUMMER!!1

The scale angels came to visit again . . . can you say 160's NEXT WEEK!!! soooo excited . . .

OK, the goal is: to hit my goal weight, may be a bit of a stretch but I should be REALLY close . . .

DCAP: That's 12 sticks o BUTT-ery GOO MELTED AWAY FOREVER!!!

    NorthernBelle & Hopeful: I guess you're not going to give that scale wings, YET . . . I know sometimes I want too . . .

I just need MORE PATIENCE!!! LOLOLOL

to all of you who are are the downhill slide

and HANG IN THERE for anyone struggling . . . WE CAN DO THIS!!
  • Big hugs and hi-fives all around! you ladies are sure kicking the butt out of winter and nailing those goals!!

    Madam - BYE BYE BUTTER!!!!!

Down 2.1 today - awesome! i was "expecting" more, but that's my problem - I have very high expectations which are sometimes unrealistic. I LOST - that's a good thing, and I'm being more consistent, which is even more important.

    Have a great day all!!
  • Northern Belle: way to go!!! Getting under 200 was amazing for me, I'm sure it was amazing for you as well
  • Northern Belle-- WAY TO GO! That's a wonderful, wonderful feeling
For me, this week hasn't been easy I've been so good; I haven't cheated at all, have gone to the gym faithfully, but I've only seen 1lb net loss... The scale played some tricks a few days, but oh, well. I'll take a page out of Madam's book and call it a good 4 sticks of butter gone this week!!

Northern Belle - Congrats on getting to Onederland! The elliptical hasn't arrived yet, but they just shipped it. I'm hoping it's here by the end of the week!

  • 1/29- 149.8
    2/5- 149.6 (-.2)

I really need to eat better- I had a bad week of eating and very minimal exercise. I just need to get my booty in gear!
  • Thanks, ladies. I appreciate it!

Hopeful, I forgot to congratulate you on reaching your ultimate goal in my previous post. Must feel amazing!

Our Lady Bonbon, That's a great way to look at it. That's a pound you're not carrying around anymore and it brings you closer to your goal. Each pound counts!
