Starting weight 250+ question.

    Hi Avalynn - I started with 5 packets a day for the first week, then 3 packets per day since then. That said, if there are days that I'm hungry, I have a 4th packet.

    My coach started me at 5 packs a day for the first week and have been doing 4 per day since then.. She recommends that until I reach 175, I have to have 4 a day
  • I started out at 260 and I only had 3 packets a day and now down to only 1 a day. I always bought 1 extra a week that would go into my "crisis foods" bank just incase I had a day where I was hungry. good luck!
  • I started at 249.5 and used 3 packs a day...I have never used restricted items either!!
  • Thank you ladies for all the responses... I think I will be trying to go from 4packs a day to 3. I feel like 4 is too much!!

    You are all doing so well on your weightloss which is so nice to see and keeps me going. This forum is truly such a GREAT help with this experience.
  • I started at 3 packs a day and just willed myself through the first week. I had my tonsils removed not too long before that and was probably adjusted to not eating much. Getting tonsils out as an adult is a miserable experience.
  • My doctor said that I would be on 4 packs a day until I got below 240. When I hit the 250 range eating 4 a day was just too much so I switched to 3 a day. I've had great weight loss each week.
  • I started at 287 and only 3 packets which seemed okay because I was in a cast and wasn't moving much but as soon as I started moving more we found it was too low and I've increased that now even though I'm under 230.

    As you lose weight your caloric needs will drop and you will be able to eat fewer packets. In fact, the closer you get to the end goal and "ideal" place for you the more you will feel full on MUCH less food and find it very easy to stall or plateau.

    I began my weight loss at 254 and, while on Ideal Protein, only did 3 packets a day for the whole 6 months. I lost 90 pounds and have held it for the past 4.5 months.
