How much weight have you lost and how many dress sizes have you dropped so far?

  • I started out at 213 lbs and a size 16/18. I've lost 64 lbs and now wear a size 8/6 (mostly 8).
  • I started out in reallllly tight 16s at 192. I've lost 36 pounds and now I wear 12s. They are pretty loose but my mid section is kind of... lumpy, so anything tighter would cause muffin top and I'd just walk around being uncomfortable.
  • I was a 12ish at 174, now at 136, I'm a 4/6 in most things.
  • After losing 40 pounds (some of which I've unfortunately gained back) I could just barely fit into jeans 2 sizes lower. Tops are one size lower depending on the brand.
  • I don't know how much I've lost; different scales tell me different things. Around 15-20 pounds and I went from an 18 to a loose 16/tight 14(in Old Navy and American Eagle sizes).
  • I went from a size 20 to a size 8. Sometimes a 6, sometimes a 10. Mostly an 8 and have maintained a roughly 75 lb loss.
  • I've lost 45-ish pounds and gone from a super tight 22 (should have been a 24) to a loose 18 and one or two 16's buttoning up. My top sizes vary wildly, but my bras went from a 48 band to a 40 (which are almost too loose now ) so I tend to lose more weight around my torso than hips, which makes changing pants sizes slow.
  • I envy all of you! I've lost about 60 pounds and have only gone down 1.5 sizes. I started out at 212 wearing a 14, and now I wear a 10 sometimes, but often 10's are still too tight and I need a 12. 60 pounds and only going from 14 to 12? Am I the only one who thinks that's crazy? @_@ I figured now that I'm a BMI of like 22 I might start dropping pant sizes quicker, but it still took me about 25 pounds (185 to 160) to start occasionally fitting into 10's, and 15 pounds later (154) I still can't fit into most 10's.
Apparently I look really thin though, so it's a complete conundrum!
  • At about 40 pounds lost, I had dropped two sizes. Before Christmas I was up to 49 pounds lost, still in the same size. I don't think I'll be dropping to my next size until about 60-65 lbs lost (estimating from what I weighed the last time I wore that size). Bra sizes went from 44DD to 42D so far.

Can anyone tell me, as you get smaller do you're size changes get closer together (as far as pounds lost between sizes)?

    YES.

I had no idea I was actually losing weight because I didn't have a scale and I wasn't dropping sizes. To my shock, I found at my first weigh in that I had dropped over 30 lbs!!

However, once I broke about 45 lbs, I was buying new work pants every other week. I wasn't losing as fast of course as when I started, but that's just when my waist decided to do the most shrinking.
  • I've been up and down from a size 14 to a size 4. Right now I'm an 8 but I'd like to get down to a 6, that's where I feel my best.
  • From my recent heaviest, I've lost around 30 pounds and gone from a size 12 (though I was trying to convince myself I was still an 8) to a 4-6, depending on the store. I'd like to drop the last little bit and get down to 130, which I'd guess would put me at a 2. When I was at my very heaviest, I weighed 193 and was in a size 16.

It's so remarkable to see pounds converted into sizes, it seems so much more amazing when visualized. You guys have done soooo well! I'm amazed.
  • I've lost almost 75 lbs. I started out in a tight 22 and am now in a loose 14. So about 4 sizes.
