  • oooh Pumpkin spice and cinamon dolce I'm droooling!
  • mmm, Barb, coconut in skim milk sounds like it would be pretty good, kind of pina colada-y. Maybe blended with a few ice cubes and some pineapple...

I didn't like the Starbucks cinnamon dolce. It tastes a lot like coffee with cinnamon red hots dissolved in it. And I love cinnamon red hots, but it was so strongly cinnamony that it felt like it burned my tongue. Maybe if you used less of the syrup, it would be better.

Yeah, I know about the Splenda, but thanks for the heads-up.

    ok, that sounds awesome.

I'm going to get some pineapple this afternoon - sounds the perfect non-alcoholic poolside treat.

I used to drink Malibu pineapple and milk....it was great. I would assume that this is similar.
  • Quote: Nessa - you use the peach flavored ones in your coffee too?
    no peach is for tea!
  • Quote: I'm not a coffee drinker but I add these to my skim milk to help the flavor. I like the chocolate best so far but right now I have vanilla, cinnamon and coconut.
Egg Nog, Cherry and Caramel all go really good in milk too. DH got me hooked and he has never had a weight problem in his life but he uses my SF flavors without batting an eye.

Oh the Peach would be good in tea, we already use the Raspberry in ice tea.
  • ok.....so, I'm going to have like 20 million bottles of sf syrup the next time I get to the grocery store.
  • AH! Ya'll talked me into it......I'm on a mission to find coconut syrup.....and if I can't find coconut syrup, I'm just going to get coconut milk.

    I'm making virgin pina coladas......mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
  • My sugarfree coconut syrup is by Torani and I got it at World Marketplace if that helps any.

All I could find was regular coconut syrup, but it was also by Torani.

Thanks! DH was not happy about having to go to a few different stores to find one thing.
  • LOL zeff, you are so pregnant. I remember waking DH up in the middle of the night in a snowstorm when we lived in Maine and I was pregnant with DD1, and I had to have jumbo shrimp. He did not go get them. I've always held that against him too, and it's been 22 years.
  • I ended up getting a SF Caramel from Target yesterday. I made tea last night just to taste it! It was good in tea. This morning I put it in my coffe. What a difference! I think I am going to be picking up a few more flavors as well.
Zeff - as soon as Oct rolls around, I am going to hunt out the SF pumpkin Spice one.
I never thought about using it in iced tea! What a great idea!!
And the pina colada sounds great. If you can't find the syrup, can't you use an extract? I know I have bought coconut before.
    Thanks for the ideas!
  • The coconut is great in milk and even better with a little ice and pineapple.
  • Okay Schmoodle I've just spent a small (though 55% smaller than it would have been) fortune on Amazon. Can't resist a sale on staples (cat food, nuts, coffee...). Thanks, I think
  • Cyndi, glad you were able to find some things. It takes forever to go through that stuff on Amazon, and there was so much on clearance. That sale's been on the bargain boards for about a week now, and a lot of stuff was gone when I was there on Friday, so I'm glad you found things you could use. There were some really great deals there! I got a bunch too.
  • So I came up with another use for my new SF Caramel syrup.

I made the recipe for cheesecake off the Knox Gelatin box (using LF cream cheese, Splenda instead of sugar, and I didn't put it in a crust, I just made cheesecake squares out of it.)
I put a shot of that new Cool Whip lite in a can on top, lightly drizzled it with the SF syrup... YUM, it was so good!! This would probably be great with a lot of the flavors!
Just thought I'd share. If anyone is interested in the recipe for the "cheesecake" let me know.
    Jenny

Wait - this is all Phase 1 friendly, right??
