Hi to everyone.
It's good to "see" all of you; I was feeling lonely yesterday.
Jennifa - It was probably all that greasy fat in the potato chips that made you feel sick. Happens to me too. Hey, if nuts do it for you, go with it! They're good for you and they taste great. If they help with your weight loss as well, then its a perfect situation, in my book. (Can you tell I really love nuts?)
Pat - Welcome to Wednesday weigh-ins. I really like doing my weigh-ins on Wednesday. I find sometimes that, even when I'm OP, I have a hard time getting in all my water over the weekend and then I'm retaining and seeing that false gain on Monday. Much easier on the mind, for me, to get past that and weigh in on Wednesday.
Michele - Glad to hear that you had that talk with your boss and resolved, hopefully, some of the issues. I too often like to indulge with a great cup of coffee on the weekend for a treat. The bakery where we get it puts whipping cream in it. Pricey, point-wise, but yummy. My main problem on weekends isn't so much the snacks, although they play into it, but bad breakfasts or lunches (read take-out food).
Karen B - Hope you're having a good day.
Karen C - Glad to hear that you enjoyed Vegas and that having your sister watch what she eats helped you out. Tell us more when you get the chance.
Judy - I'm so glad that your leader was able to lift your spirits and help you get re-motivated. All the medication you've been on, and your inability to get in the exercise like you like, have been playing havoc on you, that's for sure. But it sounds like you're off and running again. You and I have been playing around with this weight together for a long time now - three years! Let's end this year on a roll and continue our losing ways into next year. 2002 is going to be our year. Deal? By the way, I too, resent drinking points (unless it's wine, of course
), but have decided I must be more diligent in getting in my dairy. So I'll be drinking those points with you.
I had a good day yesterday - even cooked dinner. (Yummy stir-fry veggies from Costco. Try them if you have the opportunity.) And I'm on track for a good day today. I have to start being mindful of not only staying within points, but of spending my points in the most healthy way possible. To that end, I'm concentrating not only on the dairy, as mentioned above, but the fruits and veggies. I always feel so much better, physically and mentally, when I'm spending my points wisely.
Have a great day everyone.
Carla
