  • I've entered the 21 century and just this week purchased a MP3 player. I want to use it for walking because the cd player skips too much. I love music but am not very good about knowing the names of songs or artists.

    What's on your workout playlists?
  • Benny Benassi - Satisfaction
That's my favorite. It inspires me to keep going when I'm tired and want to stop. It's techno, so if you're not a fan, then nix that suggestion.

Other songs are whatever's playing on the radio.
  • Rage against the machine -- for running
  • I googled "workout playlist" and got a lot of great stuff. It'll take me a year to listen to all this stuff to determine if I need to add it or not.
  • i vote for anything aerosmith or rolling stones. IMO good luck with the mp3 player
  • Here are some of my "fav's""

    Jump - Van Halen
    Attitude - Patti Labelle
Snap - I got the Power
    Poison - Unskinny Bop

Those are few of my favs. Not sure what your "Taste" is.........

    Have Fun!
  • This is a link to my workout playlist on yahoo music. I have the feeling you might have to have a subscription to YM to access it so...to sum up, it's got some Black Eyed Peas, Mary J Blige, Missy Elliot, 50 Cent, & Outkast along with Time Warp from Rocky Horror, Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, These are Days (10,000 Maniacs), The Impression that I Get (Mighty Mighty Bosstones) plus lots more. Yes, yes I do have very eclectic taste in music http://yme.music.yahoo.com/ymeNav/ym...D-9620BE67545A
  • Move your body by Eiffel 65. Great song and he's telling you to move.
  • Break Stuff by Limp Biskit.
  • Quote: The Impression that I Get (Mighty Mighty Bosstones)
Now thats on my playlist too, and its funny because most people dont know who they are!!
  • At the Mademoiselle where I was a member, they always played "What a man, what a man, what a really good man. I liked it.
  • Lilybelle, that song is called
"What a Man", by Salt n' Pepper - sorry, but its an OLDIE but a goodie.
Try the Nelly Furtado album - got some great tunes (Maneater, for example)!.
For something different and techno, get the soundtrack to an obscure german film called 'Run Lola Run'. You can't go wrong with this one, as the film revolves around RUNNING and the music is made to match!

Ooh, good call, freiamaya. That was a good movie, too.
  • I love Mighty Mighty Bosstones!!!

I also have lots of Jackie Greene - he has some free songs to download at streamjackiegreene dot com

    Also - Tubthumper from Chumbawumba

A bunch of songs from 7 Seconds, Minor Threat and Sublime

The best part of the MP3 player - it's fun to switch things up.
  • Gogol Bordello. Anything by him is awesome. He's energetic, and there's no way you could be anything but active listening to his stuff.

And I'm a big fan of the Black Eyed Peas, anything like that. I'm not normally a big fan of hip hop, but I love working out to it...also any dance music. Madonna, techno, that sort of thing.
