Smilie challenge

  • Ok guys, tell me if this is a bad idea. I know that there's been something similar done in the past with tiny differences. Anyway, I was thinking to start a point system, but instead of points use smilies. So for every good deed, you would give yourself a smilie of your choice (but nothing too flashy or distracting, please). Here are the guidelines:

    For every (this is a daily record you'd keep):
    -64 oz. of water drunk: 1 smilie
    -30 minutes of exercise: 1 smilie
    -1 healthy meal: 1 smilie
    -8 hours sleep: 2 smilies
    -1 post on the 3 Fat Chicks forum (including this thread): 1 smilie

    Weekly:
    -1 lb lost: 1 smilie

    So what you'd do is post those up every day and I would total them up at the end of the week. I think we should keep up with this for a little over a month, till August 31. At the end of that time, whoever gets the most smilies will be hailed the smilie queen (and maybe I'll think of some other reward). So, here's the format you can copy and paste:

    Weight loss (You can post this everyday or at the end of the week):

    What do you guys think? Wacky idea? I think we should start tomorrow. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

  • Awesome, thanks for joining me, Mary B. If we could just get more folks to get on with our program. I will probably be online a lot later tonight, so I'll check to see what is going on. I am thinking that I will be taking care of the challenge, ie tallying scores, later at night, around 9, or early morning, when everyone's put their stuff in.

    Vacation is good for walking but bad for the diet part. Today I'm going grocery shopping and my vacation is over so back to the good food. I hate to see what my scale tells me today.

    Weight: lost .5 lbs I was at 142 yesterday and I'm at 141.5 today.

    This is definitely a good idea it got me out there and exercising this evening when otherwise I probably would have just skipped.
