BTW, Oxford is swarming with police and secret servicey-type people today because we are having a visit from (some of) your illustrious ex-pres, Bill Clinton. Don't know what kind of reception he will get. I suspect not as enthusiastic as in Ireland the other day, but we shall see ...

i'm a happy bunny today. off to wales this weekend (no work on monday) and it's nice and sunny and BF is back! hooray. plus there is free booze at work this afternoon cos last week's magazine was so fantastic (says the editor).
lolly - are the police cars red rather than white? apparently they are for special diplomat police... (we asked a police officer about this the other night - learn something new every day).

The poll was a tough one, but I chose happy youth, I figured if I was miserable during youth, it would haunt me for the rest of my life, and I would end up with a miserable later life anyway.....hum......

All is well with me, still am battling with getting a hold of my weight loss, my portions are getting larger, I need to contain my eating! But, the first step is I recognize that my eating is getting out of hand, so I am prepared to do something about it!

My DH suprised me last night, and came home a couple days early from his hunting trip. He missed the kids and I and couldn't stay away. So, he is watching the kids today, instead of daycare....they will have fun, but my house will be a mess!

It is super quiet here today, most of my colleagues took today off for a long weekend. So, I am planning a long lunch, and hopefully sneeking out of here a little early today. But, in the meantime, I will be visiting this board a lot today, I have no ambition to do any work!!

Oh, I am going to have my secretary take a pic of me today, and I will post it, I don't look the best (in jeans and a sweatshirt) but I know you ladies will understand! I was up most of the night with my DS who had a coughing/asthma attack, so I am not looking my best.

I still haven't caught up for the whole week. I was out sick with a flu bug on Wednesday and still feel really icky. I'm printing out as we speak. Miss you guys!

Morning all!! It's odd to be here in the morning while the posts are showing up, it's usally late and everyone else is done.
I went to WI last night and gained 2. I gained 3 last week but now vacation is almost over and I'm going back to counting points. It's hard not to eat whatever you want after two weeks of doing just that.

Hi ya'll! I voted for the miserable youth and a happy old age because, although my youth was great, I want to have a long old age. I figure I'll have more money to travel and have a good time when I'm older AND I have my DH with me too!

Anyway~I'm still feeling a bit tired and a little dizzy, but no other symptoms. I think its just a bug. We'll see...

Yay its friday - WI tomorrow morning .......

belle - i do keep a diary (journal). i write it in every day and have done so since i was about 14! it is really cool to sit down and read through it every so often and find out what i did (terrible long-term memory). quite annoying when i used code every so often (in case my sister found it). can't remember the code now! i've made everyone close to me promise to burn my diaries when i die. i don't want anyone else to read them. they are purely for me.

I am excited because I am going to see U2 tonight Belle have you been yet???(you are going right??)

I have been lurking for the last couple of days, I'm like Belle I usually don't get in here until like 8 p.m. so everyone has gone home for the day Oh Well!!
I had an awful week last week(long weekend...BOOZE) So I did not go to WI( Bad Stephanie) but I decided this week to get back on track BUT so far it doesn't seem to be working!!!! I think that I am just worn out, work has been insanly busy and hectic!!!! I went to bed at 9 last night and I think I was asleep before I hit the pillow and it seems to have helped a bit.

Kirsty I just read your post about a journal, I have loads of them around with only one or two things in them...I start but then I get to lazy to continue....Have a great time in Wales, that's were my Dad is from and most of my family is still there I loved it when I was there!!

Kirsty - I am glad you journal still too. I have on and off since elementary school.

My b/f and I were talking about it - I left mine out accidentally and was wondering if he read it (think BJ!!). He said he didn't and that he wouldnt' b/c what you write in your journal is the emotion you are going through right then - when you are pissed off or tired or scared or whatever, you write other things. And its true!! If I go through my old journals - most of them are I hate mom, I hate Kristin (sister).....and even my best friends, etc. I hardly wrote nice things about people. BUT - I also wrote about my fears, how I was feeling, etc, and that is where it helps. Plus, you are right, to keep track of what you did, where you were at emotionally and otherwise, its cool. I love my journals from europe. I mean, I was in Monet's gardens and all I coudl think about was how I wanted to quit Boston Pizza where I worked and dated my boss who had dumped me. And for me, that was a big deal. Now I look back and think god how could that have been a big deal, he is so nothing to me now.

Anyway,.....I like to journal. I think it helps me with WW too - and I love to look back at how I felt about my body at what time in my life...

YES I went to see U2 in April for the third time. This concert is AMAZING!! Bring your camera, cuz you can get shots in teh first song (lights are on!!) mine worked really well. You'll love it!! they are on Much music tonite for like 4 hours - before the show and after the show!! I am going to try to tape it. Very excited.

HAVE FUN!! AND GIVE LARRY A BIG SMOOCH FOR ME IF YOU GET TO MEET HIM....SIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU LUCKY GIRL!!!

belle i have no idea how i get away with socialising so much! i suppose i do try and alternate one alcoholic, one soft (point free) drink, but sometimes it all goes pear-shaped! i never spend points on mixers and i don't drink beer/lager/stout. drink lots of water. it seems to help. and try not to give into the munchies (like i do, i'm such a hypocrite!).
i guess cocktails are my weakness, but i don't go too crazy on them (or else i end up talking to god on the big white telephone).

Happy Friday! This is my last overnight as a resident-a big milestone-whoo hoo!
Spent last night helping DF clean his house for "The Meeting of the Moms" this weekend....that should be interesting....I think I've gained...I haven't been super strict about writing down points-I have realized that I really need to do that...so...to WI tomorrow AM to take my medicine and then back to being strict...I need to get it together before the swimsuits start!!!
