Help I'm Hungry

  • I know this sounds silly but here goes. I have been on the beach about 8 weeks and lost about 10 pounds. I have loved it from the beginning. I wasn't hungry and felt satisfied. Last week I started a regular exercise routine. This last week I have been hungry all the time. Do I need to reevaluate what I am eating? Is this normal when exercising regularly? Help! My tummy is growling. Thanks for any suggestions and sharing your experiences.

  • Honey, if you're hungry then go eat something! Seriously, listen to your body. You are placing new demands on it with a new exercise routine, and it isn't surprising that your appetite has increased. So reevaluate what you are eating, and make sure you add healthy foods to fill your tummy!

Hunger is the enemy! I know if I let myself get too hungry it is easy to eat the wrong things! Good luck and let us know how you are doing! And a big congrats on your loss!
  • So eat already! There is absolutely no need to be hungry on SBD.
  • Hi, Tina....

First of all, congrats on your 10 pound weight loss!

And secondly, you should eat enough at meals that you feel
full......then have 3 snacks per day to get in a little protein
    to keep away the hunger.

Works for me! And this is the basis of the program.

    Hope this helps!

  • Yes, choose protein heavy snacks, I choose denser foods and add extra lettuce to my salads to keep full. If your hungry you will go off plan, so load up on acceptable foods!!!
  • Congrats Tina on the loss, and I agree with all the above gals. I like some peanut butter on celery or Laughing cow cheese on celery, when I need to take care of that in-between-meal hunger. I think peanut butter does the best for me. keep up the good work. Lizzie

PS, DO listen to your body it is telling you the truth!
  • I have been hungry too, and I find that a baked yam ors weet potato fils me up for a long time! i add low fat butter or butter spray (within reason) and a bit of sugar sub if needed. You can also dress it up with cinnamon or allspice. very very filling. and GOOD for ya too!
