I see this is your first post in Low Carb. Welcome. There is lots of good information and support in this part of the Coop. Be sure to check out the FAQ and Recipe Sections.
Re your Day 1:
Did you count your carbs? You can use www.fitday.com for free. Also, where is the water?
Have you got the book? Atkins limits the amount of cheese per day to 2 or three ounces.
I think you might be able to add another salad at dinner.
I'm sure the other chicks will have comments.
Does the blue cheese dressing count as a cheese serving? I thought I only had 2 oz of cheese and according to the website 3-4 oz is acceptable.
Any suggestions on other dressings I can use on induction, I did buy sour cream and a hidden valley ranch packet, but I wasn't certain if that was allowed. I can't have salad without dressing....
I did total it all on fit day and my total carbs were 12, which is low. What can I add?
As long as it says 0 carbs you can have it. But beware, alot of things that say 0 carbs actually have carbs. Splenda says its <1 gm of carbs, it actually has 0.9 gms, so make sure you count that. Cream also has carbs.
I use blue cheese dressing all the time and don't count it as my cheese or carbs. I use Maries in the cold section of the veggies.
You might want to add some veggies to your meals, cauliflower, celery, cabbage, cucumbers, mushrooms, salad, zucchini.
Looks like you are well on your way. You should definitely track your food intake on fitday.com so you can get an accurate count.
My only concern would be the teriyaki chicken as most teriyaki sauces are generally made with sugar, which you should be avoiding.
As for salad dressings...blue cheese is a good choice and generally ranch is as well. You will notice that on Atkins you do become a good label reader, and you will soon see which are the lowest carb dressings.
