I only count calories.
But, I do generally stay away from carbs. If I have carbs I try for whole wheats, etc. Carbs leave me feeling hungry and the sugar spike from the gluten makes me emotional. I would rather have 3 bowels of brussel sprouts
I also watch sodium and fat at times. I always try to go to the store when no one else will be there so I can take my time looking at the nutirition labels of things. It is addictive!
Most important is to do what works for you. If you are losing weight, great! If you stall, maybe experiment with watching your carbs for a bit, etc.
