Robin, good luck tonight at weigh in! I know what you mean about work, hopefully my day today will be a lot more relaxed (boss is leaving early!).

I am day 2 on plan. I got up this morning and did a 30 min Tae Bo tape. I'm hoping that tonight I will go home and start a weight lifting routine on my total gym. Ahh, guess I should be posting this on the daily challenge thread...oh well, oops!

I also stayed totally within my calories/points yesterday. I hate fighting the worse traffic leaving later for work, but I must say I love that I've already exercised and even if I'm lazy tonight, it's ok. I used to do a bootcamp for women thing back in the day - although those workouts were MUCH more intense - and it was such a relief to get it over with!

I'm having patio trauma & drama. My patio guy spray painted the design that I loved on paper onto my lawn last night. I don't like it very much on my lawn and I wasn't able to come up with an alternate design last night. I'm desperately trying to decide what to do. He's not supposed to break ground until tomorrow but I'm worried that he'll finish up his current job and get to work early. Plus I work both jobs today and don't have anytime to go home and figure something else out. Between this, too many hours at work and all the family stuff CB & I have going on, I'm overwhelmed.

Ugh!

Good morning everyone! How's it going? Things here are still a little rough, but I'm sure they'll improve. I overslept this morning--it stormed a lot last night and I had a hard time sleeping, so I snoozed through the morning. I'm still pretty sleepy--I can't stop yawning.

Well, it's my last day of eating like a pig. I'm almost like a bear getting ready to go into hybernation, the way I've been eating.

Good morning everyone --

Okay, so I've been interviewing for a position at home (back where my parents live) and they called me with a job offer today. Trouble is, it'll mean a pay cut and it's moving farther away from my major. I'm a finance major, and I'm currently working at an insurance company, and on the phone all day. The new position is at a software company, and it's basically on the phone all day.
The hours are better (4 days/week!!) and it's by home. Also, I can get cheaper rent than where i'm living now (cause I'll have a roommate on top of the rent being way cheaper).
So I'm going to talk to the new company in about 3 hours, and I have no idea whether I should take it or not!

Jess -- I woke up in the middle of the night because of storms too - i didn't want to get up & go to work!

I went to WI last night (after being away for 4 weeks) and was down 1.2#. That means I match my signature again. I think this lower carb thing I'm doing is working for me. I'll keep it up and see what happens next week at WI.

Laura - WE WON!! YAY! The games aren't very exciting though. They're playing safe cause the power plays are being VERY effective. Makes for boring hockey. I hope your patio dilemma has worked itself out.

Angie, is the pay cut balanced out by the savings in rent? I wouldn't worry too much about your major - I haven't done anything close to mine (international business). Of course that's what I was interested in, but there are really no concrete jobs that are directly related to that field. You could always take it and then try to find a job in that area that has something to do with finance. My experience interviewing for like investment type jobs is that they're mostly located in major cities. Good luck!

Laura, I'm with Jess on the deck thing. If it's going to totally stress you, just postpone it. That's better then getting something you don't really want.

Jess, do you have all your food planned out for tomorrow? It really makes a difference for me when I figure it out the day before. I use an free website to track everything I eat (when I'm OP!)

Today I had a really satisfying lunch - WW Florentine Ravioli and some bagged salad with steamed asparagus and a little asiago on top. Altogether it was 300 calories or 5 points (I forgot I have a points calculator spreadsheet on my computer from back in the day).

For dinner I plan to have some broiled chicken with salsa and avocado in tortillas.

Does anyone else have any exercise videos that they like that haven't been mentioned here lately? I have the firm and taebo, have been wanting windsor pilates, even though I have another pilates tape. I've seen the power 90 commericals and those videos look tempting. Any other favs?

KT, we were posting at the same time. I have the original Tae Bo set that I never use, and a few of the Tae Bo live tapes that came out a few years ago. I probably have 2 basic live tapes and 2 advanced. I used to do them regularly a while back, but I may have to review the basic tape because my kicks seem really off. Also, I stopped doing it because my knees started hurting, so I need to be careful of that as well!

Hye gals, sounds like everyone's busy today. Me included. I hd a great day yesterday with eating & journalling & walking for over an hour Now for day two. Should be good too. I feel so motivated right now. i really want this feeling to last. I didn't exercise this morning b/c DH has a stomach flu. I'm planning to go after work tonight. Last night my feet were so sore after work but I still managed to go for a walk. That's a mjor change from my usual self. Anyway once again I've got to head off to wrok so I'll catch you gals tomorrow. Take care!

Lexxy - The pay cut/rent cut all evens out, I'm even doing a little haggling with the new company to bring it up to the amount I need it to be, which is why that company's calling me back later. Basically, I can't decide whether I want to spend another year or two on the phone. And I've only been at this job for about 9 months, so I can't just move home and then switch jobs fast again. Wouldn't look so great on my resume.

I'd like to work at a bank, but so far they've all ignored my resumes! Except for part-time teller jobs, which I can't afford to have! Maybe I'll just hold off and wait, keep an eye on the banks. Who knows, I've still got 1 1/2 hours to think about it!

It's a lovely day in NY - for a change! The temps are up and the sun is out ... it got a little windy last night, and I THINK rain is expected for this weekend. Not sure though.

Jen - How are you doing? Feeling OK? My friend is due 5/29 and is sure that the baby has no more room to grow! We've started an e-mail pool for date & weight. Should be interesting as she's a small girl, and her hubby is a big Italian!

I didn't get to read through today too much.
It's busy here - end of the month reports are due and we have 400 people coming for a tasting/fundraiser event.

Lots of school work to do - I took 3 exams last night, 4 more to go in Lab, 2 for lecture and 1 paper to write and 1 comprehensive exam to take. All by 5/13 ... humph ...

The place is coming along. Picked up some more blinds for the windows. There are so many of them. I am trying to decorate as nicely, yet inexpensively as possible. Yeah, right.
I'm very thankful for all of my friends/family who gave me stuff.

Been OP for 3 days now! Wow ... I don't want to jinx myself.
Actually there is pizza downstairs now ... but I'm not leaving this office until it's GONE!

I don't know about any of you, but all WW centers are closed on Sunday 5/4 and that's my meeting day.
Some sort of "annual" meeting. They find out about any changes in the program for next year. I'm going to try to get to one on Monday. I don't want to wait until NEXT Sunday ... I need to keep in check!

Well, I didn't take the job. Actually, the "haggling" thing didn't work out - they didn't offer me the full amount I wanted, so that took the matter out of my hands, cuz I really can't afford it then! So that's a big weight off my shoulders and I can relax and try to find the "dream job!"

I almost just had a total disaster! I just ate grapes and string cheese like a half hour ago, but when I came back to the computer lab I'm working in this week, I saw the big open bag of starburst jelly beans. I had these ate home over Easter and I know how good they taste (and how many calories they are). Well I went over and took a big handful and started eating them. After like the second bite I kind of panicked and was thinking what am I doing?? I had to eat a few more before I could finally throw the rest away. Of course the nutritional info is by the quarter cup, so I have no idea how many calories I actualy ate, I'll just have to guess. But that puts a serious wrench into my plan of eating my specific number of calories today! And I know it's not a huge deal in the big picture, but knowing me, it will give me an excuse to go on a monster binge. Hopefully I have that reigned in, but it was close!

Lexxy: At least there's no fat in jelly beans! Mmm. Jelly beans sound good. And WW ravioli florentine ... my fave WW frozen dinner! I actually had to stop eating them for a while because I think I OD'd on them.

You're going to think this is funny, but when I used to do aerobics in front of the TV, I loved Richard Simmons's "Sweatin' to the Oldies!"

I didn't get to salsa aerobics last night. I didn't get out of work until 8, and it started at 6:30 p.m. I was mad. Sometimes a newspaper can really hamper your life. It was also DH's day off and I didn't get to see him until almost 8:30. So we went and had dinner and then went home and moved bedroom furniture around. We bought bedroom furniture a few weeks ago and the 2nd shipment -- the nightstands -- just came yesterday. We had been using the yucky furniture I had in high school. It was time to update. Thanks to wedding money, we could!

Angie: Sounds like you made the right decision. It always feels weird to turn down a job, but if it's not right, you usually know in your gut. Good luck finding your dream job!
