  • Three more weeks left can you believe it. I posted a freebie this week as I gained. My eating was okay for the most part....a couple bad meals, only two days of exercise and pretty much 0 water. So hoping to lose that and a little more by next week.

    Had a fairly crazy week with all the trips to the hospital and errands I needed to do but I go back to work tomorrow so things should settle in to a little more of a routine again.

    Sorry I was MIA all last week but I'm back again now so with everything else going on still I should be around the computer a little more to at least say hi again

    Everyone else like me with a gain and some Halloween candy in our tummy.....well we're on a new week and we only have 8 weeks to fit in our NEW YEARS outfits.....isn't that scary

I壇 love to hang around and keep supporting the team I知 pretty sure you ladies nailed it, I致e definitely been focusing more on trying to lose weight for the team (gotta win gotta win! Haha) that it kind of got to the point where if I lost a pound, I wasn稚 happy with it because it was ONLY a pound, stuff like that you know? So then the whole next week after that 'failure' I'd end up gaining and oh man no fun! I really need to work on getting healthy, not eyeing the scale. I知 glad I知 not the only one who found this challenge to be a struggle the first time around! I知 hoping I can get this all sorted out for me before the next one rolls around, but if not, I値l definitely stick around to talk <3

    Bigmid - So happy that your mom is doing well! Weird about the leaky pipe, my water heater just broke the other day and I've been seeing a surprising amount of posts on facebook about people having water problems. Must be the cold weather coming in! Also.. 8 weeks to New Years?! I can't even wrap my head around that right now haha

    daisy totally understand your decision. This is my 3rd challenge and im still near my starting weight!!!! Extremely frustrating. Ive apparently put 'blocks' in my mind...go figure. Challenges are hard when you feel guilty if your loss wasnt big enough. Please still do pop in and chat and be supported/supportive

    3rd week in a row of posting the same weight.. Im pleased its not a gain, but surely it could be point something of a pound loss . I'll accept a .1 as long it was going down and not up. Theres always next week
  • With so many of us maintaining this week next week should really be good. A lot of the time I can always tell the scale will be down by my rings, it is crazy, just before I register a solid loss my rings will get loose. Then after the loss they usually start fitting again. Then I am always nervous for fear that it was just water weight and I will gain it back but as long as my weight stays the same while my water weight is shifting around then I guess all is good. I literally talk to myself after I loose "hold it, hold it, just be careful don't do something stupid to let it come back. Careful what you eat, you don't want to gain it back." I am certifiably nuts.

    Bigmid, I'm so glad to hear your Mom is doing well. Is she walking yet? Is she giving her therapy 110%? How old is your Mom?
  • Howdy Blue Team !

    Hope everyone is starting out with a great Monday for week 11 !

    I got up this morning before 6 and went to a great cross training class then walked 5 miles. Tomorrow I'm going on a hike... Wednesday another cross training class and 5 mile walk... Friday a hike... Saturday another hike. This week is set for activity !!

    I just realized the last day of this challenge falls on the day before I go to Las Vegas for a week and a half. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing.

    It looks like we found a house... the offer has been accepted so now we're just waiting for closing which should be close to the end of the year. Hubby and I will finally be living in the same house again... we're both pretty excited.

    It was definitely interesting that so many of us posted 0's this last week. We got it this week !

    Thinkfit - It's ok. I have started these challenges for a year now and I am still within 10 lbs or so of the same weight. The first challenge I did amazing and then life got crazy and so did my weight loss attempts. I hope you do stick around either way!

    Wow only 2 of us lost this week? I would have never thought I would get biggest loser of the team as I only lost .4 lbs. Guess if the other lady would have posted I wouldn't have. But we both only lost .4 lbs each lol. Let's hope for a good week! I won't have one as its the 2 weeks of the month I never lose thanks to pre-TOM....ugh!

    PageLynn - It's really comforting to see how common it is to let the competition get to you the wrong way, makes me feel less like I failed you know? Also, congrats on getting biggest loser this week!

    I haven't stepped on the scale since Sunday (making it a point to avoid the daily weigh ins), but I feel better already. It's nice to make choices based on what I feel is healthy for me, not "what will help me lose the most weight?" I think I made the right decision

    Thinkfit Thank you mom is doing better each day. My brother and I were fixing the banisters in the house so that mom can use them when she starts doing the stairs again.....well to make them tighter we use longer screws and well....we hit a water line....oops. I think your decision on daily weigh on is good. That crazy scale can really play some mind games on a person. At least with me it can

    Thanks Tkkoz and your right to want to lose after three weeks but it is nice to know that you will be able to maintain once you need to. I never get that part, once I've lost I still after all these years go back to old habits.....it truly is a full lifestyle change that needs constant monitoring. You will have your losses again. Sometimes our bodies take a break and settle in to what we have been doing. Before you know it it will woosh for you again

    EofAZ mom is walking she stays upstairs so that she doesn't have to do the stairs everyday. We hope she can come down again by the end of the week. Her exercises are going okay. She still has a lot of pain and she gets frustrated thinking it isn't working. But 2 days ago she needed a rope to help her pull her leg onto the bed....now she just does it on her own. I think the self talk is funny but also normal....you should hear some of the thing I tell myself before, during and after the scale....LOL. Maybe we need group therapy:-)

    Leslie congratulations on the house that's awesome. So happy for you and hubby. Wow that is some pretty intense working out very proud of you....need to get a little more in myself....with our crazy snow coming again I'll get a bit more walking in with the bus system. Vegas sounds like a fun time too

    PageLynn thank you she is getting there. I think you and I have been very close in weight throughout the last couple challenges....now if we could both break free of the numbers were at and head downwards with them

    Well off to bed have to work on the morning and then come home for lunch and help mom get down the stairs for a Dr appt. then head back to work. Also laundry day after work and have to pull off the hoses as it supposed to get below freezing -19 by Sat so don't want to crack any pipes.

  • Thinkfit - It is easy to allow the competition to get to you. But remember we are here for support of each other and healthy weight loss. The added competition should be used for slight motivation only. Together we can all lose the weight and be each other's support. I know I have little support in real life but I love the support I get from our group!

    BigMid - I would love to get out of the 170-180's for good! Hopefully we can do it next challenge as I doubt it will happen in 3 weeks lol!

    Hope everyone is having a great week. It's been a great week on this end. I'm in that 'sweet spot' where my calorie intake and burn is perfect for my body. Wish we could bottle that formula and keep it going until goal weight... hehe

    Taking the day off from exercise but meeting a good friend for lunch then doing some chores around the house.

    Have a great rest of the week team... and stay warm and dry !!
