Brand new and starting... Again.

  • Hi Everyone. I am new to 3 fatchicks.
I have been watching from afar here and there. Have never really taken my weightloss too seriously thinking it was easy and it would just all come off. Obviously I was wrong or I wouldnt be here.

I have gone from 140 pounds when I first met my future husband. 7 1/2 years later Im now at 230. Almost 100 pounds heavier and feeling so very defeated.

I have tried Low carb, Low calorie, I have increased exercising. I have attempted all sorts of different calorie levels. I have done so much reasearch. I even tried the ridiculous slim fast diet. How could they think someone could live of that.

Today I have started calorie cycling. Its my last hope. I am hoping to be able to find a support system within this group so that maybe I can stay on this this time.

I am only 26. I have an 8 month old daughter and a husband. They are both my whole world and I want to be here for a long time. Right now I can barely get down on the floor and back up to play with her. My knees, ankles and hips are starting to hurt from the increased weight. Im a mess lol.

Anyways, the picture in my avatar is my daughter and she is my biggest motivation. Plus we want to start trying for another baby next summer and I refuse if Im not lower in weight because I dont need to add to where I am right now.

    Wish me luck!!
Cant wait to start checking out the forums!!

  • welcome kell! ur baby girl is beautiful and what a motivation! i do calorie counting n also count macronutrients n im losing at a consistant 1lb a week! even if i hit a plateau for 2-3wks ill get a woosh by the 4th wk n it all levels back out! i couldnt exercise at first cuz of aches n pains n now im up doing anywhere from 30min to 2hr workouts to tone, strengthen n burn calories. i wanna long active healthy life n this is whats making it possible for me! good luck n ur gonna luv it here!
  • welcome <3 your daughter is absolutely precious :]
160 was my lowest weight and 230 was my highest so we're similar there. Before I had my son I always assumed the weight would just eventually fall off.

I wish you luck! But I don't think you'll need luck, I'm sure you can do it :3 This is a fantastic supportive place and I hope you get lots of good advice!
  • Welcome Kell! What a gorgeous little bundle of motivation! I was about 150 when I met my hubby and I hit 220 at my heaviest. I also tried everything under the sun. What has worked for me is following the Beck Diet and increasing my weight training along with a relatively Paleo-ish diet. You can find all sorts of threads on here to help you along. Just dive right in!
